Evaluation

Rating-/10

Pros

  • Easily special summons Fiend-type monsters from your hand or either graveyard, regardless of level.
  • Decent attack and defense.

Cons

  • Is not a fiend-type himself, so might miss out on support in fiend decks.
  • Needs to be re-summoned to use effect.
  • Monsters he special summons are destroyed when he leaves the field.

Tips

Special summon High-leveled Fiends

Special summon High-leveled Fiend-type monsters with protection effects to use as beatsticks. Archfiend Empress synergizes well with Doom Shaman, if Doom Shaman is removed from the field Archfiend Empress will be destroyed triggering her effect allowing you to special summon another high-leveled fiend except Archfiend Empress.

Gemini Support

As a Gemini monster Doom Shaman has a lot of support options. Blazewing Butterfly revives Doom Shaman with his effect already active. While Supervise is the other way around, it makes Doom Shaman's effect active, then when he is destroyed along with Supervise you can revive him again.

Fiend Milling

Use Fiend Griefing or Fiend Farewell to mill fiend-type monsters to your graveyard, then revive them with Doom Shaman.

Yes, it's available. Search better.

It's a real shame this is a spellcaster
Anonymous
These type of cards are limited in combo potential without support cards like Swing of Memories (spell) and Birthright (trap).

Card Guard Reply
Using two Shamans and Card Guards quite effectively.

Even get to summon kuriboh from the graveyard for added tributes.

Why is this a spellcaster and not a fiend?

Its basically Il Blud for fiend-type
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Pretty much. It has much higher stats though (especially DEF), but is harder to summon due to fiends not having something like Gozuki.

Use first effect of legion... Special summon on same turn like combo of dark magician girl...

Maybe a bit slow, but soooo good in a deck that mainly use fiends with the support of this + even 1/2 jester or either double summon.

Couldn't find a good card for the last card in my fiend deck. But this is perfect

They should release this card but make it so that you can only activate it once per week per acco...
Noah is in the game. But you have to unlock Atticus (GX) first before you can unlock him.
