If an attack is declared involving the equipped monster: Place 1 Spell Counter on this card. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK/DEF for each Spell Counter on this card. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can remove 1 Spell Counter from your field, instead.

Dimensional prison wipes this card and the monster equipped to this easily but if its a ancient gear monster with this card you are virtually screwed

Who said that this is a bad card? It is obviously a good card. And yes, many if us have lost from this card as well as from thousand other cards. However, in higher ranks this card is not that good. It is a good card, but, unfortunately it is an equip card, the worst type of spell cards.

Cheapest way is Magic Reflector from card trader regular invetory.

A very good card, there is no reason not to get 3 copies of this. You know that you are in deep trouble when your opponent has a Shi En equipped with this card. Even Cosmic Cyclone can't save you.

A good card until gold rank. Players of higher ranks can easily hundle them.

You need to draw the right card to beat it. If it is equipped on Shi En then only monster effect will work.

Seems cheap to me.

Screw PoTG

You can literally slap this card on any 4 star normal monster and set up the rest of your deck without having to think ,should limit or change to where you only gain attack/spell counters when you attack not when you or your opponent attacks

Should have been a SR at least. This is the only generic "N" card which is widely being played, which tells something is off..

Exactly, a game becomes much better to play when everyone are willing to make some effort by purchasing contents.

Free-To-Play players whine too much.

Just use some cash on a meta deck, cards like power of the guardian will stop being a problem

Yeah, the structure decks are super cheap and the sales can give you great box cards for only a few dollars. My favorite are the 99 cent UR's, and the reopenable pack deals. With reopenable ive gotten the card i wanted most of the time because resetting it increases your odds a lot. It's really cheap if you take advantage of sales

One idiot put his monster on defense position with Potg, waste of my time, luckily I have cyberdark horn to deal with it.

I Play Mostly With a Super Heavy Samurai Deck So When My Opponent Uses This Card 3 Times, One After The Other I can't Do 🔥, This Thing Definitely needs To Be Limited Or atleast have it's Effect Reworked so it's Not as Easy To use

Card is too op, i hate it. it should be banned every turns the guy i almost defeat gains 500 attack he even defeated my winged dragon of ra. and obelisk the tormentor

Next time, try to build a deck with 3 copies of this card. You will see that it is not that easy to win with it.

Of course, opponents who have no counters to this card just rage quit at the sight of it, but most don't because they can deal with it.

Observe how they deal with it to learn how to fight Power of the Guardians
