Ricardo Quelhas | My Name is Yubel | June 6 |
A comment from Ricardo Quelhas:
This deck is the typical Yubel Nephthys, the only difference being in the magic card Forbidden Chalice, to bypass several KOG decks that are appearing such as Ancient Gear & Six Samurai.

Ziyad | Sealed Tombs | May 31 |
A comment from Ziyad:
Note: You can either run “glory of noble knight” and 3 Drystan, using Drystan control (with 2 borz and 1 qwen) . Or, you can run 2 Qwen and 3 Borz which gives you better consistency due to glory becoming dead when you already have a noble knight with an equip and qwen. Moreover, when you use borz effect removing all the equips from your deck glory often becomes dead.
In this Build I used 2 “last chapter of the noble knight”. To elaborate, when you use borz effect in your first two turns you are guaranteed to draw a monster that works with qwen or protection or backup revive. All of which help you stay in the game.
Finally, in my opinion I think noble knight are unplayable without “Sealed Tombs” based on the current meta, Neos - subterror - blue eyes - six Samurai- Koa’ki. You will not be able to win a single duel against them without sealed toms.
Reason for not running some good staples (cosmic or kuribuh): I don’t have them :(

Hinoki | Restart | June 3 |
A comment from Hinoki:
Used Restart to help reliably open medraut plus an equip spell. Easiest matchups are probably amazoness, subterrors, and Yubel (by far the easiest). Blue eyes, Neos, and Red-Eyes can be difficult but usually you can skill them, the medraut opening nets you a plus 3 which is why the restart skill locking you out of a draw is ok.

Luxun | The Tie that Binds | May 29 |
A comment from Luxun:
Managed to get to lvl 23 with karakuri (black rose is a great addition to this deck and no one expects it) but unfortunately after that the opponents were all running tth and there were many blue eyes. The only way out of it is by using black rose, but they have many resources to revive the dragons. After that, I switched to Six Samurai and it was relatively easy. The trap "backs to the wall" saved me so much. The cost is very high but you can put the monsters in defense so it saves you for the turn and enables you to have a nice field on your next turn. Thumbs up to cosmic cyclone, it literally stops ag by itself and is extremely useful against subterror and against the mirror match. Good luck folks.

Heartfilia | The Tie that Binds | May 30 |
A comment from Heartfilia:
Climbing from DLv 12 until 23 I'm using AG, but at DLv23 so many Blue Eyes + Snipe Hunter, they always blow up my board easily, and my Ancient Geat low budget can't handle it :(. So I decided to try six samurai, then I got reached DLMax.
Great Shogun Shien + Shi'en made a great combo, so your opponent just only used 1 spell/trap. so it made Shi'en can handle your opponent back row.
Trap the Return of the Six samurai + Fuma have a great combo too, active it on your opponent end phase. Fuma will destroy himself, so you can special summon six samurai what you want.

pharmacist | The Tie that Binds | May 31 |
A comment from pharmacist:
The meta has changed a lot during last 2 weeks mainly because of the recent release of the box blazing roses, so I made couple of changes to my deck I used during last month and the beginning of this month.
3 dual wield: it is the only weapon to defeat subterror ( maybe the only meta deck that cannot play around it)
Kuriboh and dimensional prison: at some point I used 2-dimensional prison
(21cards): both are insane against blue eyes and neos.
At the start of my climb I used wall of disruption but neos and blue eyes decks perfectly played around it (because of their fear from dual wield) so I dropped it for kuribohs and dimensional prison.
Vermillion dragon: finally a good level 9 synchro: it has synergy with this deck either 4+4+1 or more important 8 (lava golem)+1 in stall, burn match ups, it destruction effect and for fuma recycling.
Six Sams are still a decent deck, because it is flexible deck you can play it with battle traps or with six sam quick play spells. Either way it is valuable pick up for WCQ.

A bog standard Six Samurai deck just added Super Rush Recklessness to deal with annoying monsters & King’s Consonance has saved me so many times allowing me to summon Powered Inzektron & survive.

Destiny Soul | The Tie that Binds | Jun 10 |
A comment from Destiny Soul:
I use a kuriboh sphere to avoid otk, a Zanji to destroy any annoying monster in the field by attacking it, two six samurai traps that revive from the graveyard to make synchro invoking combos and a six styles to return cards that prevent my play

Minerva | The Tie that Binds | June 5 |
A comment from Minerva:
Here is my spellbook list. Its standard with the only change being Karakuri Ninja, and Ties that Bind as the ability.
Karakuri helps me remove Shien from the game, while Drowning removes Yubel and friends from the game. This deck destroys Red-Eyes and Ancient Gear with anti-spell abilities and banishment.

VickiZhao | Parasite Infestation | June 3 |
A comment from VickiZhao:
Search madly for the castle or beast to search for it, be careful when using 2 or more crystal sneakers in the same Prinzess if your opponent has traps in the field.
If your opponent is Amazons, use both the Castle and the Beast to neutralize the magic/traps card on the field and win by fatigue.
A perfect start is to start in second, your opponent has 2 monsters in the field to use a Lava Golen, Castle to stop the attack of the same and make your combo, and still have the Homunculus next turn to finish. The deck is strong in the first 5 turns after it loses its full strength.

CooprTrooprz | Masked Tribute | June 2 |
A comment from CooprTrooprz:
Made it most of the way without Masked Tribute skill. Ended up getting the drop at Lvl. 22 and made the deck much more consistent. The idea and playstyle is to control and requires some thinking ahead. If you’re not thinking ahead of your opponent, it can be very easy to misplay and lose a winnable match.
The Deck itself: Umastryx wipes front row, Stygokraken wipes face-downs, Ultramafus was a nice tech vs big monsters. Warrior floats and makes Masked Tribute broken. Des Lacooda is a lot better than Mahjong, simply because Des is a +1 while Mahjong is a net 0. Golem Sentry just another flip monster to get the behemoths out. Econ was my 20th card, feel free to replace it with whatever you feel. Canadia still relevant, and floats once to become tribute. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Final Battle get hit on the next banlist.
Matchups: AG surprisingly wasn’t troublesome at all. Lost once out of the several matchups. If I could get Umastryx and Final Battle before AGRD it was GG. Weevil Burn no problem. Keep 1 Stygokraken and a Final Battle, blow up backrow and re-set, rinse and repeat until you got a clear shot to win. Red-Eyes was easy. Don’t trigger the flip effects and just run them over/stall with Final Battle boost. Blue-eyes was my toughest, I’d say it was 50/50 whoever had a better starting hand.
Overall fun deck with a TON of big brain plays. Pretty cool to see the meta continually become more diverse.

Pain | Heavy Starter | June 3 |
A comment from Pain:
Very easy climb even without Masked Tribute. Strong against most decks like Samurai but struggles a bit against Blue Eyes and Ancient Gear. Final Battle is MVP, I won every game I had it and with this Skill you have a 60% chance to have Uma in your hand. Only 2 Nemesis Warrior because I felt that 3 are too many without Masked Tribute but I also didn’t want to play without him.

A comment from Lyst:
I tried several variations of the deck, started off without the skill and I cheesed a lot of games with Speleogeist and Anti Magic Arrows. From level 20 onwards I swapped to the more standard deck. The skill is absolutely broken.

Willioso | Masked Tribute | June 3 |
A comment from Willioso:
This deck is really consistent and have answer to almost all decks. The only unfavorable machtup is against AG (because of its effects).
Desert sunlight is a good trap if you don't have Subterror Final Battle.

Defender as hand trap. Warrior to special summon behemoths Kraken and Umastryx. Lv8 behemoth to dump warrior, burrowing. Burrowing to popped by Kraken to add Subterrors, dumped by lv8 to face down your behemoths

Revolver | Masked Tribute | June 4 |
A comment from Revolver:
Same strategy for other Subterror decks. On my decklist, It contains 2 Canadia for AG (to prevent attacking my facedown Subterrors and Sixsam to prevent them to Synchro summon and Yubel to flip facedown their Terror incarnate and also for snipe hunter.) 1 Speleogeist for beater while Enemy controller here is one of the useful cards since it tributes your opponent face-up monster for the effect of Nemesis Warrior (assuming you used the masked tribute skill in your turn 1).
Cosmic Cyclone for face-up spell and trap. Also when your starting hand does not contain a Nemesis warrior or any flip face down low-level monster but you have a Stygokraken in your starting hand, You can use the skill to tribute set it and protect it via Canadia, enemy controller or Final battle.
I also have decklist in case Masked Tribute has been Nerf :)
