very anoying to face decks who have absolutely nothing to do whith the event, should give a -1000 or -2000 points in duel score when doing that

Not everyone has enough cards to build a Neos deck or a Junk deck.

It depends what you think the purpose of the event is. The "type battles" aren't the main point IMO. The main point is to get regular players more used to PvP. Which the event is relatively good at.

I wouldn't be opposed to enforcing the theming (for example, similarly to Parasite Paracide's restriction), but I don't think it's a failure of an event type for not doing so.

If you want players to be eased into PVP, wouldn't it be better to have them face gentler decks? I'd rather have the event be about "Fiends VS Fairies" and "Insects VS Dinosaurs," compared to nothing but "Blue-Eyes Cosmo VS Six Sam Synchro, ft. Neos Fusion."

But they didn't write anything about easing players on the previous events, only in this one (with the 5x NPC duels description). All the descriptions and advertising for this event are theme battles. Which is failing even now that it's not even telling people to use Junk/Neos, just anything warrior gets the points... they could use their tryhard samurai and still be following the rules, but.

at least if you're doing that its your choice & thats okay. but when you pick Junk Warrior on purpose but choose basically the other teams cards just seems wrong

Even I noticed that people AREN'T using the decks for their team. One such duelist in the Junk Warrior team used Red-Eyes against my Neos Wiseman deck. Shockingly, Konami never learned from the last team vs team event that we had with Espa Roba where people weren't using the same types as their team. Sad to say, most of us sticking by the team's type will be always beat than those who don't.

To be fair, E-HERO Neos is much better than Junk Warrior. I guess it's fine when people are not using the team mascot card

Ikr. I hate pvping while we have ranked duels already. Pvping takes a lot of time. Not to mention the numbers of those who takes forever to use their damn brain just to surrender in the end.

I'll be honest. I don't have high hopes for this event. The last couple times, they "tried" to base the duel around certain monster types, only for those types to be flat-out ignored in favor of top-tier meta decks. Unless they make monster types mandatory, this is just gonna turn into another meta-fest.

...Although at least it's not the Kalin event.

The Kalin event was way better, Raid Duel Earthbound Immortal. It's an assisted Player-vs-CPU event, so you can make a deck decent enough to contend with him knowing the matchup.

I don't know for sure how it will work this time, but I saw pictures where they made things like dark magician vs. elemental hero neos for the themes. So I guess that means you would be required to use the monster listed at at least 1 in your deck for the team you choose to be on.

Annoying as he was to face with that stupid skill and those Infernity Guns, it was still a CPU deck the player knew exactly the full contents of, and being played by a CPU with all of its limitations and many predictable moves. No comparison to have to face legend players with extremely 🔥ous invincible decks as a bronze.
