Duel Links events and updates in April 2018, new legendary duelists, how to unlock.

Announced in-game on the 26th of March, plans for future updates for April have been released!

KC Cup

1st Stage

A tournament that offers players to excel and prove their deck worthy of being on the top. KC Cup offers a huge variety of rewards from Legendary Duelists drops. Duel with Duelists from around the world and become the very best.

Duel-A-Thon

Duel-A-Thon will be held again in Mid January. During the event period, you will earn points every duel, to fill your "Duel Meter". Gather points every day and get daily rewards, accumulate those points over the course of the event to get even bigger prizes.

Mid April

Event Exclusive Legendary Duelists are Coming to the Gate!

Starting Mid April players will be able to unlock the previously event exclusive Vellian Crowler through his unlock missions, once unlocked he will also be available to duel at the gate.

This is your chance to unlock Yami Marik and obtain "The Winged Dragon of Ra"! In addition, a new skill for Yami Marik will be added!

Character Level Cap Increase

All playable duelist's level cap will be increased! Level them up to receive Jewels, Gems, Powerful Cards, and other rewards.

Popular cards will be display at Deck Editor and Ranked Duels

This new feature will be added to help players know what cards are relevant to the Meta and how they could build their deck around these cards or how to counter them.

The cards are actually rather weak. Ziegfried just god-drew in the duels he had. Ride of the Valkyries Summons monsters from the HAND, and returns them to the Deck during the End Phase, and most of the individual Valkyries have very weak effects and stats.

Really would like to see it be Zane, Syrus (unless they do something crazy) doesn't bring much. Zane will bring a new archetype with him though and we need some spice in the meta. Would be nice. But komoney doesn't want a meta change right now. So probably. Syrus

Either way it is the same. A new Yami Yugi skill. In the in-game announcements they have acknowledged their mistake about Arkana. This site never updated their info like they should have and it is just a giant middle finger towards the players who were waiting for Arkana.

They Should have unlocked him the first time he showed up, it wasn't hard, and if you haven't played the game in a while and missed it that's your fault not theirs, and if you started after the event it's also your fault they advertised the heck out of the game

I myself already have him and do not even use him. But I've noticed that every time right after an event ends, there is always at least one person claiming they missed such-and-such and begs to bring the event back. These may be for reasons completely out of their control, like losing a device or being a new player. But when Konami makes stupid errors like this, it's embarrassing. One word: Gate

Aster's a difficult one. Most of his stuff seems unlikely. I feel like at least one of the cards'll be another copy of something we already have, like Plasma, Malicious or Over Destiny. Maybe Dusktopia or D-Counter could happen. No way Dragoon or Dystopia does.

Mai... I'm calling it now: She gets a Harpie Channeler. Not sure what else, though.

If you search Youtube for "Yugioh Duel Links Aster Phoenix All Signature Cards" (and you can do this for all the characters I think), you'll see that they have some plans for Aster, including Dystopia! It might not necessarily mean we get to use all of the cards listed, but it's something.

They don't imply any specific plans. He has lines for basically every Destiny HERO-related card, including several anime-only ones. The voice lines (especially the more recent ones) have a lot of cover-all-bases lines. Jesse has one for Crystal Abundance, for example, which we'll probably never get for multiple obvious reasons.

It seems a little TOO good to be true. Same thing with Zane. There was a video listing all of his Cyber Dark stuff. If they have voice lines for specific cards, it does not necessarily mean that they plan to release the cards into the game or to the players. Would be cool if it happens, though.

I thought that this "Yami Joey" crap was NPC only. So why the bloody hell does this site keep listing him with the other LDs!? Please tell me that Konami isn't seriously going to waste their time with this "character"! He doesn't even talk!

If you read the discription for the upcoming marik event where you can unlock ra it says "players who already have Ra will receive a different reward" i hope thats obelisk

...It's not going to be anything especially valuable. Replacing already-obtained rewards is nothing new. The various repeat character unlock events such as Pegasus just gave a UR jewel instead of the unlock. Don't get your hopes up, it's just a "you're not getting 2 Ra" disclaimer.

Why would a Marik event gives you Obelisk? It makes zero sense considering Marik was never in possession of Obelisk.
