  • You can immediately draw 2 cards.
  • It can free a space on your back row by removing a Continuous Trap Card that you no longer needed.

Cons

  • It's a dead card if you don't have a Continuous Trap Card on the field.
  • The Continuous Trap Card must be face-up. Your opponent might destroy it before you can use Magic Planter.
  • The effect of the Continuous Trap Card that you discarded might be needed later on.
  • It's only a two card exchange.

Dimension Gate

Activate Dimension Gate to protect your monster from attacks or card effects by banishing it. Use Magic Planter to send Dimension Gate to your Graveyard, then activate Dimension Gate's effect to bring back your banished monster to the field.

I've been using this in an Odion Tiki Deck way before it was cool and it has landed me a lot of wins w/ chain reaction

No, this card is awful for Mirror Wall. The only way to pull that off would be to pay 2000 LP to keep it on the field or activate it during your Main Phase, both of which are wastes. Dimension Gate is fine, but not Mirror Wall.

This can also work on embodiment of apophis since it's still technically considered a continuous trap card. Can see this working out well in a bluff trap deck.
