This page notes details of Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru (Spell Card/Normal) : decks, tips, effect and rulings. Learn and enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links!
During your Draw Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard, you can add this card to your hand instead of drawing, and/or send 1 "Koa'ki Meiru" monster from your hand to your Graveyard to add this card to your hand.
So why does necrovalley not work on this card, a legendary knights player deck outed me with this card, he should not be able to get the iron core back to his hand...
Yes they are. If Necrovalley truely doesn't negate Iron Core's effect, it's a bug. (Wouldn't be the first time something slipped through like that. Paleozoics come to mind.)

i'm glad they un-limited this and semi-limited diamond core instead, it wasnt fair to the archtype since 3 iron core isnt OP and the iron core is needed for most KM cards
Maximus was never meant to be the "point of the deck" anyway. Koa'ki Meiru were always designed with control in mind, with a focus on anti-LIGHT/DARK.
And I don't know about you, but I'm not an especially big fan of being OTK'd, and Maximus, especially in multiples and with access to Hey, Trunade!, very often did so.
