Neat looking card, I'd like to make a fun deck focusing on this card.
Worthy to note that you don't have to Special Summon this card with its effect, since it's optional. You can Tribute Summon this card instead, or Special Summon it in another way.
Its effect to destroy a monster would still activate too, since it's a separate effect unrelated to the Special Summon effect.
The problem is, with how common "stand battle" in yugioh anime is since 5Ds, this card more often than not wouldn't have a chance to activate its effect, unless Yuya deliberately summon a monster/token to opponent's field via a card's effect, so that this card can destroy it in battle, then use its effect to destroy the opponent's actual monster.
Destroying a token wont work with this card.
It needs to destroy and send to GY .
Token doesn't get sent to GY.
It also wont work against card that either goes to banish zone/deck when it is destroyed. For future, pendulum cards too as it goes to xtra deck.
Oh yeah, it specifies "sent to GY". So in terms of anime, Yuya can't even use "token on opponent's field" strategy, it has to be a monster.
No wonder this card was barely used in the anime, the only time it is used, it was against a character whose strategy is specifically stealing control of monsters, meaning Yuya's opponent would have many monsters on the field.
no name
u can use this card with:
-charging gaia the Fierce knight 'light monster' (to add a black luster solodier) than send odd-eyes 'dark monster' than summon BLS by banishing dark or light monster
