2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.
The temporary banishment works great if your opponent only has 1 monster on the field so you can OTK them, or if you want to get rid of the materials of an Xyz monster.
2 Level 8 monsters Gains 100 ATK and DEF for each monster in the GYs. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; until the end of your opponent's next turn, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects, also neither player can Special Summon monsters from the GYs.
Mostly for when you need to stall the duel, but its last effect can be a great counter when you go against decks that rely on summoning from the grave.
This Cipher deck doesn't summon from the grave, aside from Monster Reborn and Mirror Knight, so it's mostly just to counter certain opponents.
I like the Dyson Sphere variant. It's not necessarily better but it's at least different compared to the Photon deck which is arguably better in every single way than the standard Cipher deck.
