the ATK boost is permanent, but man, its still a very terrible card.

although it's no wonder this card is terrible, it was first printed in CDIP (Cyberdark Impact). The OCG/TCG set that even Konami themselves admitted as a total fail.

Needs to see 3 links before it gets to a level where it can do stuff. That's a whopping 6 effect activations. Good luck setting that situation up.

It's even worse - it's 500 ATK after the ENTIRE chain link 2 or higher resolve.

It's not 500 ATK per chain link, it's 500 ATK every time you finish resolving a chain that consist of 2 cards or more.

All the chains are useless in Speed Duel format.

Can't really see how this card would be anything but useless, except maybe in some very neiche farming deck. But even then, Cerberus literally be twice as good.
