[Master Duel] Numeron: deck recipe

[Master Duel] Numeron deck, Numeron in the current meta, how to use.
update 21/02/2022

Overview

An OTK focused deck with a simple, quick, and easy to play style. Using the field spell's effect, you can copy the effect of Calling from the deck to special summon 4 numeron Xyz monsters from the extra deck for a turn. They can't be destroyed by battle and start with low ATK, which you can quickly build up in a turn to reach 8000 ATK for an easy OTK.

How to Play

Numeron Network & Numeron Calling

Numeron Network
Numeron Network
Field Spell
Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [UR]
Master Pack [UR]
Secret Pack: Number Recall [UR] [UR]
During your Main Phase, send 1 "Numeron" Normal Spell Card that meets its activation conditions from your Deck to the GY; this effect becomes that Spell's effect when that card is activated. You can only use this effect of "Numeron Network" once per turn. "Numeron" Xyz Monsters you control can activate effects without detaching material(s).

This is the core card of the deck and also the combo starter. Simply play this on to the field and activate it to send Numeron Calling from the deck to the grave. This will copy Calling's effect to special summon 4 Numeron Xyz monsters to the field.

Numeron Calling
Numeron Calling
Normal Spell
Master Pack [R]
Secret Pack: Number Recall [R]
If "Numeron Network" is in your Field Zone and you control no monsters: Special Summon up to 4 "Numeron Gate" Xyz Monsters with different names from your Extra Deck, but banish them during the End Phase, also you can only Normal or Special Summon once for the rest of this turn.

Essentially the only card in the deck that the field spell can copy. It's a core card, but you want this in the deck more than the hand.

Due to its restriction, you'll want to make sure to use them to link summon into something else after they're used. If you get turn 1, you can summon them and link into Apollousa/Avramax right away. If you get turn 2, you can attack with the summoned numeron Xyz monsters first, then go into main phase 2 to link into either Apollousa/Avramax.

Network Searchers

Numeron Wall
Numeron Wall
DARK Fiend ★1
ATK 0 / DEF 0
Master Pack [SR]
Secret Pack: Number Recall [SR]
If you control no cards, except "Numeron Wall(s)" (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand or field to the GY; activate 1 "Numeron Network" directly from your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Numeron Wall" once per turn. When you take battle damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, end the Battle Phase after the Damage Step.

Works as a searcher or a defensive stall card. Since you kind of need your opponent to have a monster for the numeron Xyz to get their ATK increasing effect, you can potentially wait until your opponent has a monster and use this to prevent an OTK.

Planet Pathfinder
Planet Pathfinder
EARTH Machine ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
Master Pack [R]
You can Tribute this card; add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

The only normal summon that the deck uses and it's to fetch Network from the deck. This is also not part of Network's single summon restriction since Pathfinder is used before using the field spell, so you'll still be able to link the numeron Xyz monsters away to something else.

Terraforming
Terraforming

Add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

More ways to get the field spell card to your hand.

Swift Scarecrow

Swift Scarecrow
EARTH Machine ★1
ATK 0 / DEF 0
Master Pack [SR]
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate the attack, then end the Battle Phase.

Defensive stall card if you want to wait until your opponent summons a monster.

Monster Removals

Tributing your opponent's monster is one of the best ways to get rid of them so you don't have to deal with difficult boss monsters. This kind of removal ignores the fact that they can't be destroyed by battle, card effects, or even if it says they're unaffected by any other cards.

Kaijus and Lava Golem are good cards to use since you can still do Network into Calling plays. They also have decent enough ATK/DEF to let you build up the numeron Xyz's ATK to reach 8000 for an OTK.

Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju
Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju
EARTH Insect ★7
ATK 2400 / DEF 2000
Master Pack [SR]
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. When your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster(s): You can remove 2 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; until the end of the next turn, that monster(s) cannot attack and its effects are negated.
Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju
Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju
WATER Aqua ★8
ATK 2200 / DEF 3000
Master Pack [SR]
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. When your opponent activates a card or effect, except "Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju" (Quick Effect): You can remove 2 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card.
Lava Golem
Lava Golem
FIRE Fiend ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Master Pack [SR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field by Tributing 2 monsters they control. You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you Special Summon this card. During each of your Standby Phases: Take 1000 damage.

Memories of Hope

Memories of Hope
Memories of Hope
Normal Spell
Master Pack [UR]
Draw cards equal to the number of "Number" Xyz Monsters with different names you control. You can only activate 1 "Memories of Hope" per turn.

Amazing draw power that gives you 4 cards when you have the 4 numeron Xyz monsters on the field. It can be a dead card early on if you can't go into the field spell, but this can help your next turn plays if you didn't get to OTK before.

Piri Reis Map

At the start of your Main Phase 1: Add 1 monster with 0 ATK from your Deck to your hand, but halve your LP. After adding it to your hand, until the end of the next turn after this card was activated, you cannot activate the added monster's effects, or the effects of cards with its name, until you Normal Summon that monster or a card with its name.

To search for Numeron Wall. You will then have to normal summon it to the field in order to activate it to search the field spell, so it will work like Planet Pathfinder.

Dark Hole

Dark Hole
Dark Hole
Normal Spell
Master Pack [SR]
Destroy all monsters on the field.

Even though destroying your opponent's monster will mean that you can't build up your numeron Xyz monster's ATK, this is useful to also clear out your monster in case you need to remove your Apollousa/Avramax from your field. This is so that you can summon the 4 numeron Xyz again with Calling since you need to control no monsters.

In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn.

You can also Xyz Summon this card by using "Number 1: Numeron Gate Ekam" you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) If this card is Xyz Summoned: Banish all monsters on the field. Once per turn, during your next Standby Phase after this card was banished: You can Special Summon this banished card, then if "Numeron Network" is in your Field Zone, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the combined ATK of all banished Xyz Monsters.

Has a pretty strong monster removal effect and can also deal 4000 effect damage. But this works better as more of a follow-up play after the standard 4 numeron Xyz beater since it's a little slow and can easily be disrupted.

You summon this by using Ekam on the field, which will then banish all monsters on the field, including itself. It will come back to your field during your next standby phase, but will only deal the effect damage if your field spell is still on the field. Since the effect banishes itself and the other 3 numeron Xyz, it will end up dealing 4000 effect damage.

Number 1~4

These monsters are special summoned when you use Network to send Calling from the deck to the grave. This lets you special summon all 4 numeron Xyz monsters to your field right away. If your opponent uses Maxx "C", they will only draw 1 card.

They all have the same effect where they can't be destroyed by battle and an ATK increasing effect when they battle. The ATK increasing effect doesn't require a material detach because of the field spell, and the ATK boost is based on their current ATK, not original ATK.

If your opponent has a 4000 ATK or lower monster, you'll be able to OTK since the last numeron Xyz monster will have 8000 ATK. The sweet spot is if your opponent has a 2000 to 4000 ATK monster so that you can properly build up the ATK boost.

Link Monsters

If you want to bring 3 of each number 1~4, you'll only have enough space to bring 2 other extra deck monsters. Due to the field spell's restriction, you can't do further combos after special summoning the numerons, so these 2 are good cards with powerful effects that you can bring as a combo ender to the usual play.

Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess
Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess
WIND Fairy
ATK ? / DEF 4
Master Pack [UR]
2+ monsters with different names, except Tokens
You can only control 1 "Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess". The original ATK of this card becomes 800 x the number of Link Materials used for its Link Summon. Once per Chain, when your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can make this card lose exactly 800 ATK, and if you do, negate the activation.

Using 4 monsters, Apollousa will have 3200 ATK so you can negate 4 monster effects. Together with the handtraps, the deck has plenty of disruptions to stop your opponent.

Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax
Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax
LIGHT Cyberse
ATK 3000 / DEF 4
Master Pack [UR]
2+ monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck
While this Link Summoned card is on the field, your opponent cannot target this card with card effects, also their monsters cannot target monsters for attacks, except this one. Once per battle, during damage calculation, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster (Quick Effect): You can make this card gain ATK equal to that opponent's monster's ATK during that damage calculation only. If this Link Summoned card you control is sent to your GY by an opponent's card: You can shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck.

High ATK monster with some innate effects to help it stay on the field. It can also contribute some damage to help finish off your opponent since its effect essentially lets it deal 3000 damage if you battle a special summoned monster, which you can effectively use by tributing your opponent's monster with a Kaiju or Lava Golem.
