Similar Effect

Light-Imprisoning Mirror

Light-Imprisoning Mirror has the exact same effect as Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror except it deals with LIGHT Monsters. Both these cards are counters against the two most prominent attributes in the game.

DNA Transplant

Use DNA Transplant to turn all monsters on the field into DARK attributes. Used with Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror, this will negate all monster effects on the field, but not in the graveyard.

No they don’t. Surgery changes monster type while transplant changes the attribute.

unfortunately there's only 1 so far in this game. and chances of you getting it in the beginning is not high enough especially against yubel or shi en who can actually negate it since people usually summon him first turn
