A player choose Kaiba Seto or Yami Yugi at the beginning of the beta version. By using decks those characters have, the player beats an opponents and can get more characters as story progresses.
When you have enough variety of cards to build a deck, try free match or rank match. Those mode cost nothing. Player will enjoy those two modes mainly.
In Duel Puzzle, players have to deal with a certain situation and win victory. Gems are reward for completing missions.
Players use decks already build to have a duel in this mode. It allows players to get gems as reward for completing mission and enjoy playing various kinds of decks.
In Duel Links players purchase a pack which contains three cards by spending gems. Those cards are randomly distributed.
By winning a duel, players can get random cards from an opponent's deck.
Duel Links applies "speed duel" system which is different from that of general Yu-Gi-Oh card playing.

In Duel Links, each characters have skills. The effects of skills vary from boosting starting LP and drawing a card within a certain category.
The Gate allow a player to have a duel against legend duelists which are characters appear in anime/manga. Players can get reward for winning the duel.
To have a duel with legend duelists, players need to get Gate Keys. The key can be obtained by winning duels.
