Overview

Stage 1 of the KC Cup will start on April 5th. You'll start the event with the Duelist Level based on your final rank of the Ranked Duels season 26 (Feb 28 20:00 - Mar 31 21:00).

Why people whine so much about sylvans?
There are so many ways to counters to them.
I run an aroma deck and I'm just doing fine.
My guess is that people want instant solutions without having to look at the carpool and tech some useful cards.

Yes, because you always get a counter card like Chalice or Divine Wrath first turn. There no RNG/chance involved at all, even if you get a second roll with Restart.
Meanwhile, Sylvans can pretty much start excavating from their first or second turn and have the field flooded by their second after possibly nuking your entire field if they are lucky.

So couterable, even with other meta

My experience with KC right now is getting more wins from enemies surrendering or ragequiting LOL. Im playing less than 2 months so i cant really build an expensive deck that requires multiple UR from 1 box so i made an easy DR. Crowler ancient gear deck with cards i got from beating him in the event,some polymerisations and some good trap and spell cards for a 20 card deck. People see me use polymerisation and they immediately surrender or they do dumb 🔥 like using enemy controller on MY turn to take controll of my ultimate ancient gear golem,then i end my turn and it comes back to me so they basically just destroy their monsters for no reason,then they surrender or d/c

S/he probably talking about competing on low rank like 7 or 10 at most. There's no way AG moreover fusion version could reach DLV max

Dont need papa corn in aromages ....if u hav ur field spell on zone then ur aromage monsters can gain a good amt of attack.

You say that but I'm lvl 18 atm with AGs, "THATS NOT 20" i hear you cry, yeah well I only play Kcc in a 4 hour time slot, when it's between 1 and 5 am in Japan so I'm waiting till later to climb up. Sylvans are being trashed, Ssa gets beat if I draw one of my 3 cyclones, and OTKs get stopped by my 3 kuribos, otherwise a normal AG deck

Hey konami FIX YOUR GAME. Sea Stealth can only be dealt with one card and Sylvans are more 🔥ous than cyber angles when they were a problem. 🔥ING FIX IT

Nothing to be fixed here. We are simply at a stage where Duel Links is evolving. Dino, Red-Eyes, Gladiators, Six Sams, etc. are now considered Ooga Booga decks. Decks like Cyber Angels, Anki, Sylvians, etc. is proof that the game format is now more powerful and faster than ever.

You think I set cards? I didn't set unless I felt completely obligated xD Used everything from the hand if I could, but I see your point.

Tbf it was simple choices,
Cyclone - SSA
Chalice - Sylvan
SRH - hazy
Ebola - crazy otk T2

I just messed with the balances and it worked, the dinos generally have high attack and evilswarm Salamandra won me more games than any other card there bar chalice

Just Saying....

So let me get this straight.. Konami knows that there are multiple cheaters in the game (most of which are in this lame 🔥 tournament),yet there's no way to report them.. only in casual and ranked can you report people... sounds fair. I'm officially done with the KC cup. It's just an orgy of cheaters.

WOW! You have a great eye. I didn't even know you cannot report cheaters in the KC Cup. KC Cup is one of the biggest places that contain cheaters in Duel Links. HAHA

the first time I played a tournament on dual links, it was just against my region. didn't have to deal with all this cheating Asian crap. sure, some Asians snuck into the American region, but it cut down on it a lot. playing against Asian mod apk hackers running scripts on a bot loop is a waste of time

Sometimes you just have a bad day and lose multiple times in a row, and there is nothing you can do about that. But if you lose too often, then it might have something to do with your deck or strategies. Your D.Lv won't drop as long as you're below D.Lv 10, and you won't drop below 15 or 20 once you reached those milestones. Use those opportunity to test your deck.

Yup. I spent all night trying to get to 20. Got to the win-and-in duel 3-4 times, lost each time, and am now almost back where I started (Level 18). I'm taking a break. No reason to get 🔥 about it. It's a game. The aim, even in a competitive environment, is to enjoy yourself. Everything else is secondary.

I lose mostly due to them japan/chinese players, always get bad opening hand. My deck is ssa copy of thebricker deck above. Very consistent against non asian players !!

All I see is Aroma, Mako, and Aliens, at least we have 3 meta decks playing on some other card games It's just 1 or 2 decks

I feel like 75% of the decks I face are Sylvans. I've only won if I go second, have a Golden Flying Fish, or that other trap card that destroys face down cards. Otherwise it's basically game over.

This may not fair for new players. They may not have enough cards to beat these desks. So they can hardly reach LV 12 or more.

Being a f2p player, I'm very proud of myself for reaching stage 2 for the third time in a row despite of facing many KoG players using p2w decks. I only used one deck which got me directly from Dlv.5 to 20. Check out the deck in the comments below! It took me only 61 cumulative wins within 3 days to complete the first stage.

I used a similar deck but with only monster. Just went ham or went home. I also hit DLv 20 in under 65 wins.

u habe time till 16.4.18 to get dlv max for the 200 gems bur u wont play in stage 2 since it starts earlier.

Glad im not just going crazy and other people are experiencing this too. Theres a tremendous amount of cheaters in the KC cup, and you cant even report them. Not trying to sound racist, but why are the Asian players our region? Like every cheater ive seen so far is some dude with an Asian name. I dont get why we even bother picking a region when we're just dueling Asian hackers all the time.

Asian player here. For a while I've thought that there were a lot of Asian cheaters too... but I think sometimes it's actually just our crappy connection. Things have gotten a lot better for me (i.e. encountered fewer "cheaters") since I started only playing at somewhere with a good connection. That said, they probably could try to match the players by region. Less connection related frustrations.

I'm not saying cheaters don't exist either, btw. I had a duel with someone from Japan, and the game decided that my/our connection is so bad that it had to reboot. I returned ASAP to resume the duel, but when I reconnected to the match, the game told me I had surrendered. I can't understand why the game would think so. I had experience timeout loss before too, when there were 100% plenty of time.

I have never seen a "Your opponent surrendered" when he/she is about to win on their rank up. But when I'm about to win on my Rank up, I have gotten "You Surrendered" several times. This 🔥 comes from hackers. It's common 🔥ing sense to those you keep saying its bad connection.

After running the deck and even fighting against it for over a week. I've come to my own conclusions about it.

Yeah Sylvans kind of suck... It grossly over hyped and even the most optimal build which mains 3 Leaf and 3 Shroom, pretty much folds to SSA, Archfiends, CA, and really any deck that mains multiple Ultimate Providence, Tribute to the doomed, "Any control Deck" ect. Due to being too reliant on your opponent blindingly running into your set monster, or you getting luck with Leaf's "excavate 2".

The only problem card in the deck is "Rose Lover" which is also the only card likely to get hit if at at all. Sylvans is a barely Tier 2 deck that is just popular due to over hype as most player weren't aware of how it worked during it's debut. If you managed to make it to Stage 2 with it, congratulations, you got lucky. I've been stuck at DLV19 and Platinum for days. I think I'll go back to Felgrand or Ark Brave Slash. Maybe give Hazy a go from this point forward.

It strongly depends on the build, which is pretty personal. After lots of changes, I got to LvMAX and from Legend 1 to KoG in the same day with my Sylvan build, achieving a 10 wins streak in the while.

But yeah, I still prefer playing REDZ or some other funnier deck

Aliens is pretty decent right now. Though I wish the deck wasn't so reliant on A Cell Recombination device to get it's counters out and about effectively.
