I'm getting good results with this card. I use Court of Justice and Freya Spirit of Victory to get her on the field early so she rarely bricks. Guardian Eatos and The Tricky also play nice here. The Tricky lets you discard a fairy, which is important, since Athena's effect won't trigger if the graveyard is empty.

Man...you are 4 whole years late... Court of Justice and Freya Spirit of Victory (+ Guardian angel joan) was a good combo in duel links... in 2017... Times have changed. This combo is REALLY outdated nowadays and the only advantage it offers is a big fat summon. Just play Master Hyperion/Agents if you like fairies.

Or if you like Athena (personally love the artwork of the iconic greek mythic godess of wisdom) just play hecatrice/valhalla hal of the fallen to summon her:
Discard hecatrice-fetch Valhalla-ss Athena-plus you will have a fairy (hecatrice) in gy.
Basically a 2 card combo.
Why taking the long path?

I probably can use this as one of Melodious' main deck boss.

And once we have a lot more Trickstar cards when we get Vrains world, I can see people building Trickstar Burn deck that includes this card.

Melodius have already a much better version of this card that has synergy with the deck. This card the ony thonk it offers is pathetic burn dmg

Works great with Valkyries. When special summoned, they trigger their effects.

Yes, that works. But it's only 300 LP damage in Duel Links so it's not a very good combo.

with their special summon ability they can abuse athena burn for them...while getting for themselves a 2600 beater!!! META BURN

Meta burn... You just need to use the effect 3 times to deal less damage than a pre-nerfed lava golem. Even sparks is better. At least sparks never bricks.

I am not flaming. This card could have seen some play with initial burn. 300dmg is pathetic and never big fat monsters where good deck choice. If you need an idea, special summon athena with valhala, normal summon agent venus, use mystic shine balls with elephants gift. Deal some dmg. Meanwhile, enjoy the horrible openning hands 9/10 duels.

First Turn, Valhalla the fallen. This, Guardian Eatos, Guardian Eatos. Thats 1200 LP off the bat if you choose to tribute. DD Sprites would be useful as well

Initially I thought nerfing it was excessive since 600 damage isn't all that much, but then I remembered cards like Shining Angel exist and I was forced to think twice...

They nerf all new burn cards, even Achacha Chanbara which only inflicts 400 once, is nerfed to 200.

This card will be nerfed to 300 dmg.

If not mistaken, Konami made it clear on their in-game announcement that all future cards post-29 Sept maintenance will have their effect dmg halved regardless whether they are OP or not.

Past cards are unaffected except for Lava Golem. (for now)

Make sense.
Even in 8K format its kinda easy to deal huge burn damage with darklord + athena. Burn damage aside, i only want her revival effect
