Pros

  • 1200 attack boost for the affected monsters.

Cons

  • Also boosts your opponent's monsters since it's a field spell.

Tips

Paleozoics

Paleozoic cards are trap cards that can be special summoned as level 2 aqua type normal monsters, which will get boosted by Wetlands. This will make them all to 2400 attack. They can also be easily summon and are unaffected by monster effects.

Frogs

Frog monsters are mostly low level aqua type monsters. They have some pretty decent effects and will have pretty high attack once you have Wetlands active. Submarine Frog will be 2400 attack piercer monster, and Unifrog can destroy spell/trap your opponent controls.

Star Boy

Wetlands can be good in a water deck as well. Hammer Shark helps special summon low level Aqua type monsters to summon monsters like Star Boy. Star Boy increases your Water monsters' attack by 500, including itself. When you have Wetlands active, Star Boy will be a 2250 level 2 monster.

I started playing in mid December 2017 and the only way to get 1-2 copies of this card was Ranked SR reward, which I had to use on other staple cards at the time.
Now it's unobtainable, which is 🔥ed.

To clarify the description of the card effect

So the slash '/' mark doesnt mean "or" but "and"? please Konami, dont use so misleading word, you can just use "+" symbol or other symbol or just simply remove the slash mark will do the job just fine

Example:
All WATER Aqua-Type Level 2 or lower monsters gain 1200 ATK.

Dont you think it is more better and clear?

ugh, Konami did it again, I got careless

Really I was fool of believing card desc in single glance
I though it was
All Water or Aqua or lvl 2 monster got atk boost, so I though all water even not aqua can get boost as well, really I was so careless

A bit rude but I just really want to say it

I though this for a while but I think the staff are more and more stupid day by day.
From bad at selecting better wording to became so uncreative that they lost idea for card effect and thus creating so "too OP" newer card because they failed to think of new interesting card effect. Like sylvan for instance. sigh

More better..really

It's really simple. On a card description of a monster, the type is displayed with a slash simple (e.g, Sea Sperpant/Effect) so it stands to reason that seeing Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2 relates to a card that meets all of those requirements.
