Compensation (skill)

Duel Links Breaking News
Tyranno unlock event!
update 20/08/2018

A very handy skill to thin out your deck. Can also be used many times when there is excess LP gain.

Can be used each time your Life Points decreases by 1000. Send the card on the top of your Deck to the Graveyard, and recover 300 LP.

How to get

  • A drop skill obtainable by playing PvP Duels or defeating Legendary Duelists when you play as the Yami Bakura.
  • A drop skill obtainable by playing PvP Duels or defeating Legendary Duelists when you play as the Yami Bakura.

Rating and explanation

It is somewhat lackluster as it needs the user to take a fixed amount of damage to activate this skill. In our current card pool, there's not many cards that can make use of this skill. Other than thinning your deck, there is no other notable benefit.

Yami Bakura skills list

honestly this skill is good for fiend deck and really good when you see a parisite infestation on the top of your deck. the 300 keeps you from dying to burn and from taking the 1000 from a bug. not bad imo
How can I tell konami to fix this kill? Graveyard effect of card like kidmodo wont trigger. Yhis supported to work like "mil the stop card of your deck" no?

I don't believe skills count as game mechanics.
Am I the only one who sees the synergy with Skull-mark ladybug? As in, you lose 1000 life points, use compensation, gain 300, ladybug goes into the graveyard, gain 1000.

Problem: that requires a hell of a lot of luck. Skull-Mark Ladybug sucks if you draw it. It's also quite a waste: OK, so you gain 300 LP. But that's only if you lost exactly 1000 LP: lose more, and the gain is less. And why not just run Life Boost Alpha then if you run Compensation only for the LP?

This skill wont trigger graveyard effect, got this with my Kidmodo.
trash. lose 1000p just to recover 300p
I thought you could use it every turn after losing 1000 lp
300 LP recovery does appear lackluster at first; remember, however, that Bakura's ace card, Dark Necrofear, relies on Graveyard manipulation to fulfill its SS conditions. Discarding from the Deck allows him to simplify the process.
