when a card is almost or is OP konami will only do either one of these;
- the card does not exist
- struc deck it, rip all money possible the limit 1 it or outright ban
- laugh and says f**k you to the players

Also, generic removals ARE commonly used cards. You can also Canadia the boosted monster, or Floodgate this card, or use the removal effect in your deck's archetype (like for example, Subterror can use Umastryx to banish this card)

Just remember how you manage to avoid this card from ruining your farm in Epic Yugi event, it should be much easier with a deck dedicated for PVP.

Unless the user of Apprentice Illusion Magician is 🔥, you can only really avoid the ATK boost pre-emptively, since they can simply wait until the Damage Step to use it. Which, if they didn't Summon Apprentice Illusion Magician, you're more than likely not going to do. (Even more likely if it's a single copy.) There's a reason we lack similar cards like Honest.

Not sure about being designed to fight Chaos Max, but one thing I'm sure about, Yugi Mutou beat Chaos Max using the fruit girls instead lmao
