Well since we know that Dark Side of Dimensions is gonna be its own world eventually, I’m guessing we’ll get her and Blue Eyes Alternative when that comes out years down the line
She is not op, is the card that makes sense in a DM deck right now. There are plenty of counters to this card outside there already, plus they should release it with eternal soul hahaha
There aren't really any commonly used cards that counter its ATK boost effect unless you consider generic removal like Treacherous. +2000 ATK in a 4000 LP format is pretty absurd, especially given you can attack with it first.
The ATK boost only applies when battling another monster. By now getting 2000+ ATK monster out turn 1 isn't that hard anymore, so the blow from the ATK boost can be easily softened. It also means this card likely couldn't "attack first" as this card has only exactly 2000 ATK.
Also, generic removals ARE commonly used cards. You can also Canadia the boosted monster, or Floodgate this card, or use the removal effect in your deck's archetype (like for example, Subterror can use Umastryx to banish this card)
Just remember how you manage to avoid this card from ruining your farm in Epic Yugi event, it should be much easier with a deck dedicated for PVP.
Unless the user of Apprentice Illusion Magician is 🔥, you can only really avoid the ATK boost pre-emptively, since they can simply wait until the Damage Step to use it. Which, if they didn't Summon Apprentice Illusion Magician, you're more than likely not going to do. (Even more likely if it's a single copy.) There's a reason we lack similar cards like Honest.
