For this card's Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 "Harpie" monster you control as a Tuner. This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. When a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (except during the Damage Step) (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls or 1 "Harpie" monster you control; return it to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Cyber Slash Harpie Lady" once per turn.

when you activate your spell/trap but opponents also have a Cshl and they decide to chain to yours.

Counter traps, activations in damage step, when they try to force slash by activating a spell/trap you can then chain a quick effect monster to chain block slash

Cyber Slash FAQ

*Why I can't activate it when I use my own spell/traps?
-You must set your toggle ON (get into a duel, settings, activation confirmation,"Toggle button", set to ON in the duel screen.

*Why I can't activate it even with toggle ON?
-Your opp has priority to chain something first as long as it has equal or higher speed, if it happened to be a monster effect you can't chain Cyber slash, the last thing happening in the chain is a monster effect (See question below)

*Why I couldn't chain to my opp monster effect?
-Cyber slash only chains to spells/traps. Yes the effect is written poorly.

Estoy teniendo problemas con la activación del efecto. Lo mismo q dijo otro más abajo, sólo se activa con territorio de caza o cartas del oponente.
Ahora q mencionaron a utopía, me pasa q nunca me dió la opción de negar su propio ataque.
Y uno más, hace poco tuve problemas con la invocación especial de célula horda de la maldad, no me daba la opción de activar ese efecto.
Alguno más tuvo esos problemas?

*El efecto de cyber slash está escrito muy mal, no es claro y da a entender algo que no es, en resumen solo responde a magias y trampas NO a efectos de monstruo.

*Prioridad: cuándo tu activas una magia/trampa tu oponente tiene la prioridad de activar algo en respuesta antes que tu (mecánica del juego) si por ejemplo el encadena un efecto de monstruo tu ya no puedes activar esta carta porque los ultimo que paso fue la activación de efecto de monstruo, cosa a la que cyber slash no puede responder (solo responde a magias y trampas)

En cuanto a la prioridad, no creo, me pasa incluso cuando el oponente no activa nada en respuesta. Lo raro es que cuando dejo el duelo en automático contra los estándar ahí funciona bien.

The effect is not working properly, it only activates when harpies hunting ground or enemy spell activates. But did not trigger when i activate spell/trap or effect or enemy trap/effect.

I also tried to toggle On/off the activation effect because i already tried with utopia effect for negating his own attack but it didn't seem to work on this card

Any ideas?

I can think of 2 reasons:

*You are activating your spells/traps in the damage step, cyber slash doesn't work in damage step.

*The priority mechanic: let's say you have cyber slash + econ, your opp has a schmietta. You activate econ then you would want to chain slash right? Well you can't do that; if your opp has a chainable card with equal or higher speed they get to respond to it first.....

.....(counter traps have a higher speed than slash btw, she can't chain to them)"the priority is passed to them". Let's say they chain schmietta: you don't get to activate slash since she only responds to spell/traps and the last thing that happened was a monster effect not a spell/trap so your slash was chain blocked

Having some trouble understanding the activation of the bounce effect. As an example, I'll play Elegant Egotist and Hysteric Sign and not be prompted for the effect to trigger, but will be promoted later that same turn when Sign activates from the GY.

Is there a missed activation timing that I'm overlooking or something?

Yes, you are overlooking something very important, so important it is a basic thing to do in tournaments

Set you Toggle On

Get into a duel->Go to settings->scroll to "activation confirmation"->select "TOGGLE BUTTON"

When in a duel change the icon at the bottom left of your screen to "ON"

yes u r right. here an other one F.A can easly ss this. their tuner is amazing.
-my concern abt this card is: if this card can activate its effect oe not, if the spell or the trap is activated from the grave for exp: banish trap from the grave to add a field spell for example (U.A. trap)

Does this mean that it only works in response to spells/traps and their effects?

Or you can also chain this card to monster effects?

I checked the card's ruling as well as the card's text in other languages. It's only chain-able to the activation of Spell/Trap or Spell/Trap effect.

No monster effect.

^^^ That comment is correct, the english version of the card effect is a fu ck ing mess, incredible how they fail at communicate such a simple thing

This text is confusing to me, the effect of this card is activated in response to a continuous effect, such as the aromage traps, or only if you activate a new S/T?

Yes you can use continuous traps to proc the effect, either when you first flip them up or the continuous effect itself

You can't use this card's effect in response to continuous effect, since continuous effect does not activate.

However, you can use this card's effect in response to the effect of continuous spell/trap that requires manual activation.
