Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by possessing 4 or more banished "Lightsworn" monsters with different names. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can pay 1000 LP; shuffle into the Decks, all cards in the GYs and all face-up banished cards, except "Lightsworn" monsters. Once per turn, if your "Lightsworn" monster's effect is activated: Send the top 4 cards of your Deck to the GY.

Tips

  • Your Lightsworn monsters will not be returned to the deck with Punishment Dragon’s effect, however, you can return Spell/Trap support and other monsters you mixed into a Lightsworn deck.

Twilightsworn

A subset of the Lightsworn archetype that banishes Lightsworn monsters from your graveyard. Use their effect cost to set up Punishment Dragon’s summoning.

Tech Cards

Lightsworn decks usually mix in cards whose effects activate in the graveyard and are then banished after using said effect. Punishment Dragon can return them from your banish zone to your deck, to hopefully be milled back into the graveyard.

Not sure what PK has to do with the LIGHT Machine Unions or Punishment Dragon, but XYZ are already in for more than a year, in the Electric Overload box. Scroll all the way down when you look at the boxes in shop.

Bro he's talking about Xyz monsters, not the XYZ archetype. You know the ones from the TCG with the black borders? Yeah those.

I forgot why I created the comment above, but I was probably being stupid, or saw some card that I could mix in with its effect.

Love the artwork, and I love how this card relates to Judgement Dragon, being light and dark counterparts to one another. Don't really think this card's effect is that good when compared to Judgement Dragon's, but they can work very well together as Judgement can destory your opponents cards and Punishment can shuffle them back into their deck, preventing them from brining anything destroyed by Judgement back from the grave. Can't wait to build a Twilightsworn deck once I have all the cards.

Basically the Twilightsworns are a must if you want to play this card, since they self banish instead of self mill.

Yes and yes and also no. They ARE a must, as they DO banish, but they ALSO self mill, helping both dragons.

Honeslty I'm really glad they gave us Twilightsworns aswell as regular Lightsworns, as it opens up both strategies right away, allowing you to play traditional Lightsworns with Judgement and Michael, or you can play the Twilightsworn version with Judgement and Punishment.

OH Boy... I really see it coming. Late game stall LS with Punishment Dragon.
LS don't need Judgement at all. I do agree they would be powerful with it. But a free 3k ATK beater is no joke.

This card can cycle the few NON lightsworn cards that you run in the deck to close it for a win.
