The main play is to use the Tri-Brigade's effect to fuel the grave, either by using Fraktall from the hand, or normal summon them and link into Almiraj. You can then normal summon any Tri-Brigade monsters to use their on-field effect to summon a link monster. You can perform long combos by going Ferrijit and doing more summons, but the main idea is to eventually summon Bearbrumm to the field and then send it to the grave so you can search for Revolt from the deck. The combo ender is usually Apollousa on the field and a set Revolt, which you can use next turn to summon Shuraig to disrupt your opponent.
The Zoodiac's are great fillers in the deck since they are beast related monster types so they work as cost for the Tri-Brigades. Their unique gimmick is that they can Xyz summon a monster with just 1 card on the field, which is mainly just going to be used to reach Zeus.
In this deck, you don't really have to know much about the Zoodiac archetype since it's not a pure/focused Zoodiac deck. Its purpose is to simply be used to Xyz into Zeus so you can get a board wipe effect, and it works together with the Tri-Brigades because both Zoodiacs and Tri-Brigades are Beast-related type monsters.
Any of the Zoodiac main deck monsters can Xyz into a Zoodiac Xyz with just 1 card. You'll want to start with Boarbow so you can attack directly, then on main phase 2, Xyz/Overlay into the other Zoodiac Xyz monsters to increase Xyz materials before finally ending on Zeus. This will at least let you use Zeus' effect twice.
If you have both Zoodiac(s) and Tri-Brigade(s) in your hand, you can go for the standard Tri-Brigade combo and special summon the Zoodiac with Ferrijit's effect if you also want to have either Zeus or Drident on the field.
Zoodiac Thoroughblade | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1600 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Those who Stand Against Kings [SR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can discard 1 "Zoodiac" card, and if you do, draw 1 card. An Xyz Monster whose original Type is Beast-Warrior and has this card as Xyz Material gains this effect. ● If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. |
Can help you potentially fix your hand since you only ever need 1 Zoodiac monster in hand to make combo plays. Its 1600 ATK is also an advantage since you can still use it as a beater if you want to go into Drident before attacking and going into Zeus.
Zoodiac Ramram | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 400 / DEF 2000 |
Legacy Pack [R] | |
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 "Zoodiac" monster in your GY, except "Zoodiac Ramram"; Special Summon it. An Xyz Monster whose original Type is Beast-Warrior and has this card as material gains this effect. ● When your opponent activates a Trap Card or effect that targets this card (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation. |
Handy effect that it can give to the Xyz summoned monster, but it's very situational since the trap needs to target, and using this effect will mean only 1 Zeus effect due to lack of materials.
Zoodiac Whiptail | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★3 ATK 1200 / DEF 400 |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Those who Stand Against Kings [R]
(Quick Effect): You can target 1 Beast-Warrior Xyz Monster you control; attach this card from your hand or field to it as material. An Xyz Monster whose original Type is Beast-Warrior and has this card as material gains this effect. ● If this card battles an opponent's monster, after damage calculation: Banish that opponent's monster. |
Helps give more Xyz materials but it's situational/tricky to use since you'll need to use this before going into Zeus, but it's also not useful for Zeus if you didn't use any Zoodiac Xyz effect that detaches a material because you'll just end up with 5 materials.
Zoodiac Drident | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★5 ATK ? / DEF ? |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Those who Stand Against Kings [UR]
4 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Zoodiac Drident" by using 1 "Zoodiac" monster you control with a different name as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Gains ATK/DEF equal to the ATK/DEF of all "Zoodiac" monsters attached to it as material. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it. |
Having this gives you the option of turning any of the main deck Zoodiac monster into a face-up card removal effect. It's only useful if you need to destroy a card that prevents you from going into Zeus. Otherwise, it's a waste since you'll end up with 3 materials on Zeus, which is only 1 use.
Zoodiac Boarbow | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK ? / DEF ? |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Those who Stand Against Kings [R]
5 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Zoodiac Boarbow" by using 1 "Zoodiac" monster you control with a different name as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Gains ATK/DEF equal to the ATK/DEF of all "Zoodiac" monsters attached to it as material. This card can attack directly. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent while it has 12 or more materials: You can send as many cards as possible from your opponent's hand and field to the GY, then change this card to Defense Position. |
This is what lets you go into Zeus on your own. With just 1 Zoodiac main deck monster, you can Xyz into Boarbow and attack directly. Even though it deals low damage, you'll be able to Xyz into Zeus in your main phase 2. Just make sure that you Xyz into the other Zoodiac monsters to gather more materials before doing it so you can use Zeus' effect twice.
Zoodiac Chakanine | EARTH Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK ? / DEF ? |
Master Pack [N] Secret Pack: Those who Stand Against Kings [N]
2+ Level 4 monsters Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Zoodiac Chakanine" by using 1 "Zoodiac" monster you control with a different name as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Gains ATK/DEF equal to the ATK/DEF of all "Zoodiac" monsters attached to it as material. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 "Zoodiac" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, but for the rest of this turn, its effects are negated, also it cannot be used as material for an Xyz Summon. |
Basically just used as a filler for Xyz material stacking before going into Zeus. Its effect has almost no synergy in the deck.
Tri-Brigade main deck monsters have similar effects where they can banish Beast-related monster types from your grave to special summon a Beast-related link monster from your extra deck.
This gives the deck a very wide option of cards that it can summon, and is also what lets the deck work somewhat well with Zoodiacs because they're also Beasts that can be used as costs for the Tri-Brigades.
The individual effects are mostly to help with discarding cards to fuel the grave. This means that you can pretty much normal summon any Tri-Brigade to start combo summoning multiple monsters.
Tri-Brigade Fraktall | FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1900 / DEF 1600 |
Master Pack [R] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [R] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [R]
You can send this card from your hand or field to the GY; send 1 Level 3 or lower Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster from your Deck to the GY. You can banish any number of Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters in your GY; Special Summon 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast Link Monster from your Extra Deck, with Link Rating equal to the number banished, also you can only use Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters as Link Material for the rest of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Fraktall" once per turn. |
Fraktall can be considered as the combo starter for the Tri-Brigades. Its effect lets you discard a Tri-Brigade from the deck to the grave, fueling it so you can use the main Tri-Brigade effect.
Use its effect to send Kitt to the grave, then send Nervall through Kitt's effect. With Nervall's effect, you can take Fraktall again to set up for next turn, or Kerass if you have any other monster in hand and want to special summon it. This ultimately lets you fuel the grave without even going minus in your hand.
Whichever Tri-Brigade you pick up with Nervall, you can then normal summon it and use its on-field effect to banish the discarded cards to summon a link monster. If you have another Tri-Brigade in hand, you can bring out Ferrijit to make further combo plays. If not, then go into Bearbrumm then link into Rugal to fetch a Revolt.
Tri-Brigade Kitt | FIRE Beast ★2 ATK 700 / DEF 1000 |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [R]
You can banish any number of Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters in your GY; Special Summon 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast Link Monster from your Extra Deck, with Link Rating equal to the number banished, also you can only use Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters as Link Material for the rest of this turn. If this card is sent to the GY: You can send 1 "Tri-Brigade" card from your Deck to the GY, except "Tri-Brigade Kitt". You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Kitt" once per turn. |
Mainly used for its sent to the grave effect to help fuel it so you can use the signature Tri-Brigade effect. Use Fraktall to send Kitt from the deck so you can send Nervall to get a search effect.
If you get this in your hand, you can normal summon it so you can send it to the grave by linking into Almiraj. This lets you send Nervall from the deck so you can get another Tri-Brigade from the deck. Pick up Kerass if you have another monster in hand so you can special summon it and start making plays.
Tri-Brigade Nervall | WIND Winged Beast ★1 ATK 0 / DEF 2000 |
Master Pack [N] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [N] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [N]
If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 "Tri-Brigade" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Tri-Brigade Nervall". You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Nervall" once per turn. |
Similar to Kitt, but this is the end of the discard chain from Fraktall/Kitt.
Aside from being used through Fraktall/Kitt, you can get its effect when you use Revolt to link summon as well. This is why you want to use Nervall as one of the cards to banish when you want to activate the Tri-Brigade's main effect to summon a link monster.
Tri-Brigade Kerass | EARTH Beast ★2 ATK 1200 / DEF 1500 |
Master Pack [N] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [N]
You can discard 1 other Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster; Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Kerass" once per turn. |
Has a special summon effect, making this kind of like a safety net in case your Tri-Brigade normal summon gets negated/destroyed. Helps put a Tri-Brigade on the field so you can summon a link monster.
Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen | DARK Winged Beast ATK 3000 / Link 4 |
Master Pack [UR] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [UR] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [UR]
2+ Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters If this card is Special Summoned, or if another Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monster(s) is Special Summoned to your field: You can banish 1 card on the field. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster from your Deck to your hand, whose Level is less than or equal to the number of your banished Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen" once per turn. |
Essentially the signature monster of Tri-Brigade. It can banish a card on the field when it's special summoned, or when you special summon another Tri-Brigade when Shuraig is on the field. Easiest way to summon this is by using Revolt, which you can do during your opponent's turn to disrupt your opponent.
For the later turns, once you've set up the grave with a lot of monsters, you can pretty much use any Tri-Brigade monster's effect to banish 4 to bring out Shuraig for an easy 1 card removal effect.
Since it can be special summoned with 2+ monsters, it pretty much means that you can use Revolt to special summon all of your banished monsters to your field as a way to recover banished monsters and put them in the grave, which will also activate the Tri-Brigade's sent to grave effect again.
Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom | EARTH Beast ATK 1800 / Link 2 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [SR]
2 Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster from your hand, also you cannot use monsters as Link Material for the rest of this turn, except Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monsters. If this card is sent to the GY: You can draw 1 card, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom" once per turn. |
Any time you have another Tri-Brigade in hand, you can consider bringing this out so you have another Tri-Brigade on your field. This can also be used to special summon a Zoodiac monster in case you want to have either Zeus or Drident on the field.
With Ferrijit on the field, you can link into Rugal with the normal summoned Tri-Brigade. You can then use the special summoned Tri-Brigade's effect to special summon Bearbrumm using the grave as the resource. Finish it off by sending Bearbrumm to the grave by linking into Apollousa to get Bearbrumm's search effect and pick up Revolt.
The sent to grave effect can also help potentially better your hand, but it's better to use it when you have a card in hand that you might not use.
Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager | FIRE Beast ATK 1700 / Link 2 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [SR]
2 "Tri-Brigade" monsters You can discard 2 cards, then target 1 of your banished Level 4 or lower Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monsters; Special Summon it. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 "Tri-Brigade" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand, then, place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except "Tri-Brigade" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Bearbrumm the Rampant Rampager" once per turn. |
This is the one you want to go into during your turn so that you can consistently search for Revolt. You can send this to the grave by link summoning into something like Apollousa or Shuraig.
Its main effect is very rarely worth it since it's quite costly. But it can help if you know that your opponent won't be able to disrupt your plays and you can combo into an OTK that turn.
Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller | EARTH Beast-Warrior ATK 2300 / Link 3 |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Echo Chamber Nation [R]
2+ Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters During your opponent's Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monster from your hand or GY, but negate its effects, also, return it to the hand during the End Phase. If this card is sent to the GY: You can make all monsters your opponent currently controls lose 300 ATK for each Monster Type you control, until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller" once per turn. |
A link 3 monster that you can occasionally use when you want to send a Tri-Brigade to the grave.
The effect of being able to special summon a Tri-Brigade from the grave can be useful to either recover to your hand, or summoned as blockers during your opponent's turn with Revolt's effect. This will at least still activate a Tri-Brigade's sent to grave effect if they are destroyed so you can get some advantage.
Nibiru, the Primal Being | LIGHT Rock ★11 ATK 3000 / DEF 600 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Invaders from Outer Space [UR]
During the Main Phase, if your opponent Normal or Special Summoned 5 or more monsters this turn (Quick Effect): You can Tribute as many face-up monsters on the field as possible, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand, then Special Summon 1 "Primal Being Token" (Rock/LIGHT/Level 11/ATK ?/DEF ?) to your opponent's field. (This Token's ATK/DEF become the combined original ATK/DEF of the Tributed monsters.) You can only use this effect of "Nibiru, the Primal Being" once per turn. |
Powerful tech to get rid of multiple monsters. If your opponent ends with no other plays after getting Nibiru'ed, you can very easily remove it by summoning Shuraig.
D.D. Crow | DARK Winged Beast ★1 ATK 100 / DEF 100 |
Master Pack [SR] | |
During either player's turn: You can discard this card to the Graveyard to target 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard; banish that target. |
Helps you get rid of cards that need to be in the grave and it can also be used during your opponent's turn. Together with Called by the Grave and Hraesvelgr, the deck has a couple of options to remove cards in your opponent's grave.
Tri-Brigade Revolt | Normal Trap |
Master Pack [N] | |
Special Summon a number of your Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters, that are banished and/or in your GY, but negate their effects, then, immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 "Tri-Brigade" Link Monster using only those monsters. You can only activate 1 "Tri-Brigade Revolt" per turn. |
This card is what helps the deck loop its resources since it uses the banished Tri-Brigades that were used to summon a link monster and put them back into the grave, which will allow you to use a Tri-Brigade monster's effect again.
Even though the summoned monsters are negated, they will go to the grave right away to be used for the link summon, which will activate their sent to grave effect again.
During your opponent's turn, you can use Revolt to summon your monsters to link into Shuraig so you can disrupt your opponent. If you summoned Kitt or Nervall, you'll be able to activate them to send and search a Tri-Brigade from your deck.
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring | FIRE Zombie ★3 ATK 0 / DEF 1800 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ● Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ● Special Summon from the Deck. ● Send a card from the Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" once per turn. |
Maxx C | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 200 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), immediately draw 1 card. You can only use 1 "Maxx "C"" per turn. |
Monster Reborn | Normal Spell |
Solo Mode Reward [UR] | |
Target 1 monster in either player's Graveyard; Special Summon it. |
Harpies Feather Duster | Normal Spell |
Master Pack [UR] | |
Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. |
Lightning Storm | Quick Spell |
Master Pack [UR] | |
If you control no face-up cards: Activate 1 of these effects; ● Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. ● Destroy all Spells and Traps your opponent controls. You can only activate 1 "Lightning Storm" per turn. |
Forbidden Droplet | Quick Spell |
Master Pack [UR] | |
Send any number of other cards from your hand and/or field to the GY; choose that many Effect Monsters your opponent controls, and until the end of this turn, their ATK is halved, also their effects are negated. In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn. |
Pot of Desires | Normal Spell |
Master Pack [SR] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [SR]
Banish 10 cards from the top of your Deck, face-down; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Desires" per turn. |
Twin Twisters | Quick Spell |
Master Pack [SR] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy them. |
Infinite Impermanence | Normal Trap |
Master Pack [UR] | |
Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; negate its effects (until the end of this turn), then, if this card was Set before activation and is on the field at resolution, for the rest of this turn all other Spell/Trap effects in this column are negated. If you control no cards, you can activate this card from your hand. |
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder | LIGHT Machine ★12 ATK 3000 / DEF 3000 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
2 Level 12 monsters Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster battled this turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder" by using 1 Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; send all other cards from the field to the GY. Once per turn, if another card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect: You can attach 1 card from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck to this card as material. |
One of the strongest monsters in the game due to its powerful effect. The deck is able to use this somewhat consistently because of the Zoodiacs in the deck.
With any of the Zoodiac main deck monsters, you can Xyz into Boarbrow so you can attack directly, fulfilling Zeus' requirement. In main phase 2, Xyz summon as many Zoodiac monsters before going into Zeus so that you'll have a lot of materials for Zeus, allowing you to use its effect multiple times.
Salamangreat Almiraj | FIRE Cyberse ATK 0 / DEF 1 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
1 Normal Summoned monster with 1000 or less ATK (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card, then target 1 monster you control; it cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects this turn. When a Normal Summoned monster you control is destroyed by battle, while this card is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Salamangreat Almiraj" once per turn. |
Situationally useful for defending/stalling, but can also be used as a handy way to send a normal summoned monster to the grave so you can activate a Tri-Brigade's sent to grave effect.
This lets you start a Tri-Brigade combo even if you don't start with Fraktall since you can just normal summon Kitt or Nervall then link into Almiraj.
Ancient Warriors Oath - Double Dragon Lords | WIND Beast-Warrior ATK 1100 / DEF 2 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
2 Beast-Warrior monsters, including a WIND "Ancient Warriors" monster All "Ancient Warriors" monsters you control gain 500 ATK/DEF. You can only use each of the following effects of "Ancient Warriors Oath - Double Dragon Lords" once per turn. If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Ancient Warriors" card from your Deck to your hand. (Quick Effect): You can send 1 card from your hand or field to the GY, then target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; return it to the hand. |
It's a link 2 monster that you can easily bring out with any of the Tri-Brigade's effect if you ever need a simple 1 card removal.
Accesscode Talker | DARK Cyberse ATK 2300 / DEF 4 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
2+ Effect Monsters Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 Link Monster that was used as material for its Link Summon; this card gains ATK equal to that monster's Link Rating x 1000. You can banish 1 Link Monster from your field or GY; destroy 1 card your opponent controls, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot banish monsters with that same Attribute to activate this effect of "Accesscode Talker". |
Gives the deck a good OTK potential since it uses a lot of link monsters. Accesscode Talker can reach 4000+ ATK by using previously used link monsters that are in the grave to boost its ATK.
Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess | WIND Fairy ATK ? / DEF 4 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
2+ monsters with different names, except Tokens You can only control 1 "Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess". The original ATK of this card becomes 800 x the number of Link Materials used for its Link Summon. Once per Chain, when your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can make this card lose exactly 800 ATK, and if you do, negate the activation. |
Strong turn 1 monster that you can summon and can be brought out at the end of the usual combo plays, but you'll need at least 2 Tri-Brigades in hand.
Starting with Fraktall's effect to discard chain (sending Kitt and Nervall):
Hraesvelgr, the Desperate Doom Eagle | WIND Winged Beast ATK 2400 / DEF 3 |
Master Pack [R] | |
2+ WIND monsters Gains 2400 ATK while your opponent has no monsters in their GY. (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; shuffle it into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Hraesvelgr, the Desperate Doom Eagle" once per turn. |
Bring this out if you need to get rid of a certain monster in your opponent's graveyard. Together with Called by the Grave and D.D. Crow, the deck has several ways to stop your opponent from setting up certain combos that use the grave.
