Based on the given quote we can assume that the new unlockable duelist will be Yubel whose personality mainly revolves around her love for Jaden as its owner. Another evidence is the leaked Mat and Sleeve of Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare.

A New Development in Yugioh Duel links. This could likely be the addition of 5D's, the third series of YuGiOh into Duel Links like how GX was added late last year. With the addition of 5D's World comes the addition new characters, events, cards, and the Synchro summoning mechanic.

Free play area is called Casual duels.
In order to work, it'd be nice if they get rid of 🔥 deck.

it would be cool if there was a free play area in duel links with regular yugioh playstyle, so that way people can have more free play with the game, seeing as if we ever get anything beyond zexal like pendulum's or link's they might need to increase the monster and spell zones.

I love the 3x3 zones, but a 5x5 zones mode in the will be really cool in the PVP arena

5 zones for monster & trap/spell? That means, the total of MAXIMUM number of cards in your deck will also increase. That means you need more Money / Gems if you want to play that many cards.
Imagine how much money you will spend for 40 UR/SR cards in your 40 (minimum total number of cards) deck? Oh i see, you can activate your credit cars skill. sorry i forget that you have that powerful skill.

obelisk the tormentor wouldn't bring you anywhere in this meta...
you will get finished by your opponent before you summon that guy, trust me.
that is why people have no interest in obelisk.

People want Obelisk just for the sake of completion at this point, we all know it will get powercreeped, considering nobody used Obelisk in real life OCG/TCG.
