Didn't work against Magical Circle twice, & no navigation wasn't even required

It only works on activated cards but not on activated effects.

Will this work against champions vigillance when you summon a zombie?

No, because champions vigilance doesn't target, also, since it negates the summon, the monster never touches the field.
