First duel I did and I got the UR card.

(No picture to share yet, but my deck is a Silent Tricky deck that's heavy-ish on equip spells with the Tuner Magician Gemini monster just in case I need Stardust or Powertool as backup)

It says 12th in-game and usually is corrected for time zones, but this time there is no time listed for the event to start, just the date. Its almost 11pm on the 12th in my time-zone and still nothing.

...Reallly? REALLY?! Why the hell is this card considered so damn good? Yeah, it had some fame years ago, in a previous format of the game, but read that card text again.

"During either player's turn" I.E. no matter what happens in the duel, it can activate at any time, "WHEN a monster effect is activated: Tribute this card" You don't have a choice in it, it's compulsory.

Think of the Mermail Equip cards, the moment the thing that they negate activates, they're GONE. Only this is worse since it's A. A monster, and one with no floating effects at that or way of compensating your card advantage once it's gone, and B. It'd be damn easy for any opponent to trigger it and out your 1900 beater (which is what this card basically is) with a monster effect to special summon

1900 atk beater with monster negation effect which is devastating unlink negating backrows, negating cosmo brain or Noble knights for example is very devastating + no one will bait the card since you usually need every monster effect to win + destroying monsters is more devastating than backrows, this card is good with backrow remover and powerful rebirth, it's not even once per turn!!!

you know baiting with monsters is more costy than with backrows + mermails equip cards only negate, a 1900 beater that forces you to waste a monster(normal summoning is limited to 1 per turn, special summoming requires specific condition and usually combination of cards), can also be used with spike shield and it's effect can be used multiple times per turn!
