Activate only when your opponent controls 2 or more monsters. Your opponent selects 1 monster, then you select and destroy 1 other monster. Then, Special Summon the destroyed monster from your opponent's Graveyard in Attack Position. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during this turn.

Pros

Removes an opponent’s monster.
Steals an opponent’s monster.

Cons

Your opponent chooses which of their monsters is protected.
Prevents you from conducting battle.

Tips

You can use the monster you took from your opponent as Synchro material, tribute fodder, etc.
Decks that already hinder your battle phase like Toon, Elementsaber, and Elementlord can use The Unchosen One without worrying about the negative effect.

Also all that text is unnecessary. Just say.When your opponent have two monsters, they select one monster card,you select and destroy the other monster card.return the destroyed monstercard from gy, but end battle phase.

Yeah preventing and ending battle phase are 2 different things

You can use the monster to synchro, or use it in a deck like Elementsabers that sometimes skips the battle phase anyway.

- Dead card if your opponent controls less than 2 monsters
- Useless against monster that can prevent destruction (Cocytus, Shiranui Sunsaga)
- normal spell, which means it can only be used during your main phase
- skip your battle phase the turn you activate this card

econ is much better than this card

It's just a weird e-con. You don't tribute a monster,but you lose your battle phase.Just a weird monster destruction,for a monster on your side.

This is basically a normal spell version of E-Con take, that lets you keep the monster even after the turn ends.

.....Although, why it has to destroy the monster first, I don't know. Sounds like such a roundabout way just to take control of a monster.

Not really the same. E-Con is a Quick-Spell and you have to tribute a monster but you can freely choose which monster you want.

And about the destruction: It's basically another disadvantage. You cannot steal monster that are immune to effect destruction and some cards might have an effect when being destroyed which will trigger in this case.

"Select" does usually imply "Target". Not sure why they used the old term though.

I think its pretty good field control,and you can use their monster as tribute or synchro fodder.
