Must first be Special Summoned with "Fossil Fusion". This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; discard 1 card, and if you do, Special Summon that target to your field. You can only use this effect of "Fossil Warrior Skull King" once per turn.

Is this card currently bugged? I somehow cannot activate the second effects of it, the "special summoning opponent monster by discarding 1 card" effect

Idk. Maybe try to turn on toggle? It usually helps if you struggle to activate quick effects.

Maybe the only monster the opponent had in their graveyard cannot be special summoned by such means.

That or you missed the part where it says "during your opponent's turn" and it was your turn.

Does this ace monster have a mat by summoning it 100 times? I could have sworn I did summon it 100 times and still haven't gotten its mat.

flip summons don't count anymore

You can't flip summon this guy (unless you use a card effect which would make things even slower than already are because you also need to set up your GY). He's a fusion monster.

Anyway, I did get the mat shortly after my post.

The good thing about this one is that not only it's strong, but also, the material does not rely on opponent's Graveyard.
