I tried using Synchro Strike for my Stardust Dragon against Trudge's synchro monster but when i activated the trap Stardust didn't show up as a target for my trap instead it was his monster instead, what was up with that it made me lose the duel and I'm super 🔥 about that so what gives?!?!

Let me guess, that Stardust has used its effect?

If it was Special Summoned from the Graveyard it no longer has any associated Synchro Materials, since the last summon that happen to it is not a Synchro Summon.

Similar rule also apply to Fusion monsters and its Fusion Materials.
