You can Fusion Summon Fusion Monsters that must be Special Summoned with "Dark Fusion", with effects other than "Dark Fusion". Once per turn, during damage calculation, if your Fiend monster battles an opponent's monster: You can send 1 "Evil HERO" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the GY; your monster gains ATK equal to the Level of the monster sent to the GY x 200, until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field).

At first I thought this is a great card.....

But then I realize that you'd better off playing multiple copies of Dark Fusion and Dark Calling anyway, so the first effect is largely useless, which means the only thing you'll use this card for is the temporary ATK boost, which isn't always necessary.

This would be a good card in Master Duel setting, but not Speed Duel setting.

In Speed Duel you'll run 20 cards most of the time, so deck space is tight, but in Master Duel, you can afford to also include stuff like regular Poly since you'd be running 40 cards anyway.

Yeah, being able to use Poly or other fusion spells for Evil Hero fusions isn't really an advantage when you don't have enough deck space for Poly or its friends anyway.

On the other hand, this card is free, plus Poly is free too, so I guess you can run some kind of "budget" Evil Hero deck using multiple copies of Poly and this card.

It might be useful if you use flash fusion or necro fusion, as those card normally can't be used to fusion summon evil hero.

Basically it's an enabler for monster that need to be fusion summon using "Dark Fusion", so by having this you can summon them with regular Poly right?

Yes, with this card you can use regular Poly to fusion summon an Evil Hero Fusion monster.

That effect of this card is likely meant to justify that one time in the anime when SK Judai fusion summoned Dark Gaia with Super Poly even though it should be only be fusion summonable with Dark Fusion.
