It did not activate against Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower's effect to destroy my monster.

Well, Raikiri may destroy more than 1 card. This card can only be activated if the effect that would destroy, can only target exactly 1 card.

Wow, that's some attention to detail! In a case where Raikiri could destroy only 1 card and chose to destroy a monster, will it activate or does it activate only in response to card effects that explicitly mention destroy 1 opponent monster?

I recall reading about another card with similar case, iirc the answer is that Guard Mines still cannot respond to Raikiri, since Raikiri's effect can destroy more than 1, even if it ends up destroying just 1.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, since my memory is kinda vague on this.

It did not activate when opponent synchro summoned a blackwing monster and used it's effect to "destroy cards your opponent controls upto the number of blackwing monsters you control."

Raikiri, you mean? Raikiri may destroy more than 1 card. This card can only be activated if the effect that would destroy, can only target exactly 1 card.

Buster paladin dna deck will get a huge buff with this, since the only way to beat them either surpass their atk, or destroy them by card effects. If aint bad starting hand though
