Too bad it has to be face-down Defense, not just Defense position.

Simple, Elemental Hero Wingman+This card(Ballista of Rampart Smashing), and Big Bang Shot, possibly an Econ for the win-con is an easy OTK. Good luck trying to get everything out safely with attacking, could need, a Metalmorph or even an Anti-Magic Arrow. Wingman effect, when destroying a monster, your opponent takes whatever attack points the defending monster has as life points. Ballista with BBS will allow Wingman to gain 1900 ATK points and will be able to inflict piercing damaging, Metalmorph will allow you to gain half of the defending monsters attack points. Anti Magic Arrows will cancel your opponents backrow, Econ could change your opponents monster to defense position to destroy your opponents monster and go for game. All combos could be viable for different versions of the deck. Simple combos, know what this have done since the actual TCG, when I was a Kid. Anyone may be able to pull this off(the deck of course).

...Why would you use Ballista over the much better Fusion Weapon if you were using Flame Wingman anyway?

Monsters that synergize with this. Enraged Battle Ox, Uminotaurus, Dark Driceratops, Lancer Lindwurm, Ancient Gear Golem and of course Cyber End Dragon. Anything else?

Try a Golem then, it'd be as powerful as its Fusion.
