Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment

Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment

text

3 monsters with different names
Must first be either Fusion Summoned using only monsters in your hand and/or field, or Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control (in which case you do not use "Polymerization"). If this card was Special Summoned using only monsters that were originally Dragons: You can reveal and banish 3 cards (1 from your Deck, 1 from the top of your opponent's Deck, and 1 from their Extra Deck). You can only use this effect of "Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment" once per turn.

Now any deck can clean their own field of floodgated monsters and through BS like Mask of Restrict without having to put The Brick Ruler on the main deck. Good investment.

Yeah, this is pretty much a get out of jail free card for floodgated monsters. Obviously can't hold a candle to the synchro trishula but not too bad.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It's like a Trishula lite, but the fact it unjails your floodgated monsters without being a brick in the main deck is just so good. Even more, for fusion decks that don't have a triple fusion big boss like Ultimate Golem and Saber Dancer, it serves as a super fusion summon though it's very rarely worth it to invest 4 cards to fusion summon this.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Nice, I didn't know it could do that.
Anonymous
Well, we got Judgment synchro, and now Trishula fusion.

Dark Armed xyz probably coming next, since we're getting xyz soon.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Funny thing is, we don't have Trishula Synchro yet, and that Dark Armed Xyz probably will also come first before the original Dark Armed.

Judgment Dragon was in the same box in DL as Judgment Synchro though.....but the Synchro is an R while the original is UR lol.

So I hope Dark Armed Xyz will be an SR.

Chaotic Soldiers answered your Dark Armed XYZ

Use polymerization to fuse obelisk,ra,slifer in your hand. Then use de-fusion. Now u have 3 god cards on field in 1 turn
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, that's not gonna work

Basically better in Brick Eyes.
Ninjas loving this too.

loved how everyone bashed this card as 100% useless, now look at it everyone run 1 copy

"ikr? Funny how this "useless filler card" sees more play than the "meta shifter, op, hand trap era starter" d.d. crow"

Because this card doesn't occupy main deck, which in some duels may spell B.R.I.C.K.

For example you can play a pure Triamid deck with 3 copies of this card (even 7 if that was possible) without affecting your deck's consistency.

This card is bad but splashable in any deck. It is only being used as a "last solution" when your opponent has big hitter on the field, as a finisher or when you have a brick hand full of monsters. Basically a vanilla beatstick that will hit the field once every 20 duels.

why do people love events like this? it's shameful, it tell us the world is full of re-tards.

Which mean it only useful against stall deck that basically flip down your monster PERMANENTLY. It is basically a extra deck filler in which you don't have anything else to summon in extra deck.

In short: Just because "everyone" use it, it doesn't mean that "everyone" even use it or NEED it in the first place.

Why do I keep seeing this in non-Dragon decks... I don't get it

Read comments below for details. It's basically a way that any deck can use to clear their field of floodgated monsters.

So you can't use Dragon mirror material from GY, then? Looks good at the first glance but not really after all
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, can't use Dragon's Mirror with this card.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You can use Dragon's Mirror. But you can't use monsters from the GY.

Thanks to this, the trap monsters have their own boss now.

Rhysk Reply
As someone who runs a Trap Monster deck, both in-game and IRL, I just gotta say... no. No we do not. At least, not unless you count Uria. You see, most Trap Monsters aren't dragon-types, so all we'd get with Trishula is a 2700 vanilla beatstick, in exchange for banishing three monsters that actually matter to the deck.

Rhysk Reply
Unless Trishula has some sort of hidden stat or ability that says "Trap Monsters can do this," or "Trap Monsters are impervious to that," you're better off running Trishula in a deck that actually has dragons in it. Otherwise, what's the point?
Anonymous
They could have at least game it 3,100 Atk because it is usually just a beat stick
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
The original Synchro version of Trishula also has 2700 ATK despite being just a beatstick after its on-summon effect is used.
Anonymous
Good way to bring out a beatstick if you're trapped with a field of junk.

The design is so awesome.
If only its effect doesn't have this

"Must first be either Fusion Summoned using only monsters in your hand and/or field"
