They aren't brainde ad, its actually the opposite, they know that they can sell cards like these that's why they allow it, remember FA + lvl duplication? Well it's the exact same thing over again

^I'm one of those victims who were into FA.
I dug that specific box for FA instead of Harpies.

What they had to do: Change the skill such that you don't take damage of "Dark Contract" cards but don't skip the whole Standby Phase.

What they did: Making it once per duel.

Skipping standby phase is really broken skill. Not only it can be abused by many different cards, it also completely stops certain decks like Metaphys and Fire King.

This only skips your own standby phase though, not your opponent's.

Metaphys and Fire Kings often summon their boss on your standby phase, not just on their standby phase

then this skill doesn't work as intended. It should not skip standby phase, but just "you don't have to pay LP for your Dark Contract cards." instead.

Its a bad scripting, I believe. A miss communication between IT team and game planner.
Bypassing a phase which is a part of game mechanic can't be done that often. This skill literally solomon's lawbook that can only be done once, as that card originally a trap card.

The like it when it makes a good job at selling cards, remember lvl dup and fa? Absolutely everyone knew what was gonna happen yet konami didn't care as long as they could sell those.fa cards

level dupe did get nerfed eventually, but only after FA has been out for a while.

A detailed breakdown of all the (interesting and some unreleased) cards this skill currently (10/23/21) breaks:

golden castle of stromberg
mirror wall
the regulation of tribe
Number 41:Bagooska, The terribly tired tapir
the entire amorphage archetype
the entire timelord archetype
fairy box
medusa of the evil eye and some other evil eye cards

Unsure of the following because they say UNTIL next standby phase.
ritual buster
D/D/D cursed king Siegfried

There are others, but their effects either turn into other cards, or lie closer to this skill's likely intended effect.

okay so no paying life points basically, or losing to your own cards. Probably one of, if not the best skill for this deck.
