Skill Details

Can be used when your Life Points are at 3000 or lower, by revealing 1 monster in your hand and selecting 1 monster on your field.
The selected monster's level will become equal to the level of the monster you revealed until the end of the turn. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.

This skill can be abused for tribute summon, isn't it? We can summon 8 stars monsters without tribute.

But meta decks nowadays don't play tribute summon.

No, you change the level of the monster on the field. The level of the monster in your hand stays the same.

You are right. I read wrong. This means it's mostly useful for synchro summon. Depending on your deck setup it could be more useful than Level Augmentation?

It also work for ritual.
Note that some ritual spell require an exact level from the monster to be tributed, while some allowed the total level to exceed the ritual monster.

This skill should be limited for synchro summon only.

This skill will be very important once Zexal comes out. Revealing a lv8 monster in your hand and using it on any weakass monster you summon if you have Lava Golem in your field will get rid of Lava Golem and summon an extremely powerful rank 8 Xyz monster.
