Exterio's Fang is best to use when you're going for the knockout blow and your opponent has set cards on his/her back row. Use it to negate the Spell/Trap that will interrupt your monster's attack.
By using A Cat of Ill Omen's flip effect, you can search Exterio's Fang from your deck and put it on top of it.
