Card Effect TypeContinuous-like Effect / Trigger-like Effect

Each time a monster effect is activated, place 1 Spellstone Counter on this card (max. 2). While this card has 2 Spellstone Counters, face-up monsters on the field cannot activate their effects, and their effects are negated. During each End Phase, remove all Spellstone Counters on this card.

OtherRanked Rewards [R]

  • Limits the amount of monster effects that can be activated per turn.

  • Can be played around if your opponent activates his more important effects first.
  • Will also prevent you from using your own monster effects.

  • Spellstone counters are different from Spell counters so you cannot use effects like Crusader of Endymion to charge it.

Card is actually decent in stall/rogue decks against current meta decks that activates 10+ monster effects to setup their OTK.

Also I found it a general quality of life card so I don't have to sit through my opponent activating 10+ monster effects on their turns.
To to be limited from triamids

d*mn. And even with balance they barely hang in there

Never mind Triamid deck, who the heck even use this meh card in ANY deck?
<< Anonymous

Triamids are tge type of deck with "expiration date". They are ok. Not good, but competitive. Within some mobths will be a bad and never used deck. As already said, they dont have any cards to expect.

..then there comes Triamid Loading
Combo well with Lava

Also with Kiseitai. Mostly used for stall/burn decks I guess.

Nevermind it becomes a spell card.
Evil Rick
I wonder...

The effect that removes the spell counters from this card at the end of the turn...

Would City of Endimion's effect work for this card?

city of endymion :D if u reffering to magical citadel of endymion than no since its using different spell counters (spellstone counters only work on this card)

Spellstone Counters are not the same as Spell Counters.

Cards that interact with Spell Counters cannot interact with this card.

It's a huge part of why no one use this card and Spellstone Sorcerer Karood in OCG/TCG.

Will keep the meta in check for sure.

No lmao, this card has too much drawback to be doing anything in the meta

Man were you wrong
Interesting card to use more amano-iwato!
<< Anonymous

1. Amano-Iwato deck is dead.
2. This card is too slow and lacks protection for it to work, not to mention using a specific type of counter that has no real support whatsoever.
It would take work, but an artifact deck might be able to use this, since artifacts only activate on the opponent's turn anyways. If you can activate your artifacts at the beginning of your opponent's turn, you prevent them from doing anything the rest of the turn except set cards. Not sure what to do from that point.

Or Millennium Eyes Restrict! Oh that's so good! They activate a monster effect, you respond with restrict, then they're just setting! And restrict is a decent win con.
This card covers a lot of threats to new Dark Magician deck
Very good against Silent Magicianl

That hand xyz sounds good on paper for any deck with a bunch of lvl 4 but I ain't that sure,...
Yeah I'll take the bait. I'm just gonna pull her then leave.
I'd argue that Master Duel is even worse
