Ty for your help. This helped me understand some more of the face up/down mechanics and I learned that you can tribute face down monsters with attributes, but that’s it.
"it" does refer to the monster. If you wanted the card to do what you want it to it would have to say " but it can attack its opponent directly". Since the equip spell is controlled by the owner, the monster would only be able to attack the opponent of the equip spell.
Like another guy said use it to stop whatever is disrupting your OTK. As in an OTK deck if you get disrupted in your main combo, you probably lost anyways so the LP cost isn’t too relevant.
Yeah and navigation and rod are in the limited list just for decorative purposes right? They aren't a teStAMeNt of how good dark magician was at some point, yeah surely they are bad cards just on the list as filler yeah
"The right way" isn't just summoning it from extra deck.
Starlight Road for example, summons Stardust from extra deck, but it's a regular special summon, not a proper synchro summon.
You need to actually Synchro Summon it properly first before it can be revived by Stardust Flash.
Bro wtf I just lost a game because this card just banished my pendulum monsters that don’t even go to the graveyard. One of the few advantages they should have just doesn’t actually exist because “reasons”. Konami really needs to buff pendulums and take off their @@@ed card rulings like “technically” going to the graveyard first.
It doesn't work that way because Slayer says "If this Ritual Summoned card is sent to the GY...". This card does only special summon but it's not a Ritual summon.

Why the heck a Tyranno, a creature commonly associated with power, only has 2000 ATK and SS itself in Defense with its 0 DEF? -_-

I wonder if this is a continuous effect Skill, or is it a once per turn manual activation Skill with permanent effect, where the effect can be stacked every turn.
It's not effect, it's cost.
And cost is supposed to be, well, costly.
In this case, the cost is that you sacrifice the graveyard effect of an Archfiend by banishing it instead, and in exchange, you can destroy 1 card on the field.
Special Summoning this card by any means other than its own, enables another copy of it to be Special Summoned, thus forming an attack lock that extends to all Insect monsters you control.
