Blade Blaster/Stardust Chronicle Dragon. If you discard Misc your opponent cannot disrupt your set up too
Releasing this broken pos for players shouldn’t even be the discussion. The single 1 copy the cpu has in a 20 card deck is enough game breaking and needs to be removed and whoever put it in the cpu deck fired immediately.

No, you just can't use this card during Damage Step, a part of Battle Phase where D.D. Warrior's effect activates.
Any other time in the Battle Phase allows you to activate this card.
pretty sure OP meant summon the BEWD with this card so you can use it as synchro material for Azure-Eyes.
But this card is not good for that, since then this card would remain on your field meaninglessly. You basically lost 1 backrow zone.

This is the only counter-related card that says you CREATE the counters before placing them, instead of just directly saying you place counters.

You are absolutely correct. An Earthbound monster summoned by tributing Hardened Armed Dragon won´t destroy itself via its own effect if a Field spell isn´t in play.
Only deck currently I can see this being useful is witchcrafters but then again they don't need a spell retrieval and don't normally summon 3 level 4 monsters easily.
Maybe Gravekeepers? But no use in there either because the 3 level 4s might be easily but gravekeeprs don't use that many spells other than necrovalley and there are much better ways to play a second necrovalley than retrieve from the graveyard.
Back in the day battle traps were the big thing, even drowning mirror force was in this same box.
Now battle traps are outdated and whatever counters them is obsolete too, just look at armades
