Those who knows DL history would remember this card was initially planned to be released as SR in Flame of the Tyrant, the fourth box (the second minibox) in the game.
But it gets replaced with The Shallow Grave for unknown reason, and never gets released until Dark Dimension box, many years later.
I don't believe it was the result from a Big Bang, because if after getting fused it's still this weak, the two dragons before the fuse should have been pulverized by a freakin' Big Bang.
Yea, there's a difference between optional effect and mandatory effect: the words "you can". If those words exist on an effect, then the effect is optional.
This card doesn't have those words, so the effect is mandatory.

I always laugh at this because I never have time management issues with my auto play meta decks.
I also do less mistakes because I just have to repeat the same process like a robot. This is the very definition of skilled DL player.

This card is not that useful when very first time duel links was released because targeting effects rarely exist. Only dakini, super rush headlong, wall of d, order to charge. Then look at meta now, targeting effects is everywhere: canadia, karma cut, raigeki break, book of moon, ballista squad, treacherous trap hole, fiendish chain, brionac, atlantean marksman, heavy infantry, malevolent sin, photon stream of destruction. Lol.
Yeap. Because synchro summon 3 monsters while drawing you half deck, clearing the field, and having an effect negation hand trap, all these in your first turn was all about a "healthy balanced deck"'

With current skill level, it should be "add magical contract door from outside of your deck at the start of your turn. Your deck should contain at least 5 "magician" monsters
What, you think they'll let you cheat out the summoning of powerful monsters that easily?
No, you silly, of course not. Extra Deck monsters must be Special Summoned properly first before they can be revived from the Graveyard, that's a rule that have existed even back when Extra Deck is still called Fusion Deck, thanks to Gale Dogra already existing at that time.

Technically this does answered OP's question, but Eclipse Wyvern does not benefit from Dragon's Rebirth banishing if that's what OP is asking for (seeing we are in Dragon's Rebirth page)
This is just another gimmick ehero card that only looked amazing in the anime as one of those situational ones for a specific ehero that Jaden would always just happen to have at the right time. But maybe it's just a hint from Konami for future hero support in a box.
