Yeah, Joey used this card in the manga, but it was a vanilla in the manga.
If only it has its effect, Keith's Motor Shell wouldn't have been able to have its effect activated.
It is so sad that Duel Links wasted a nice chance to make a good event around the Yugioh movie Pyramid of Light of 2004, a classic movie for yugioh fans. They could made an event with the Anubis character and the Sphinxes instead of just realeasing these cards as common and rares in a pack. Despite that we get the same events. I would love for example to also see Anubis as an unlockable character with a skill like "begin with pyramid of light face up of the field". Imo it would be fun and also give a nostalgic sense to gamers. In addition such an event could help Konami by giving them some extra views in the movie or even sales since many new players don't even know the existence of this movie.
Basically a -1 card, since you never know what cards your oppennent have in their hand and if you actually help him woth your arrange. Also, today decks are being shuffled 2-3 times every single turn due to cards effects. Just a bad card.
This card and generally lightsworn engine has become a big problem in this meta, the same grass look greener was. I cant undesmrstand why this card in unlimited whereas dark lord ixhel is semilimited? Solar recharge can give you an easy +2 if you throw to the grave kite roids, plaquespreader zombies, beacon saver etc etc. Solar recharge along with lumina were even in the limited list back in 2009 when lightsworns were everywhere. By semi limiting this card at least you cant abuse kiteroids or run that 1 random tteacherous. Something must be done. It is frustrating seing a deck doing a 10-15 card mill in 1st turn and filling with powerfull effects the grave.
I don't know what wins me more duels, this card or Necrovalley. This monster is so good when you can combine it with gk spy and headman to constantly have monsters to tribute.
So I'm glad this card's artwork is modified outside Japan.
Come to think about it, I think this card never gets a reprint in Japan either, likely due to its artwork.
"way too good", in a meta where we have Judgement Dragons, Brave Neos, Desperados, Quinted Magicians, Invokers, Shiranuis, Blackwings etc etc. Once uppon a time Duel Links was a balanced game with balanced cards. As time goes by the power creeping becomes ridiculus. Soon enough i am pretty sure it will end like the boring TCG, full of overpowered cards.
The effect only activates every time your opponent goes into Battle Phase, and does not activate on the turns where your opponent does not go into Battle Phase.
