Agree. A good start to fix Union (without that busted Union Carrier link that should be banned alongside Verte) is to errata ALL of them to allow equipping from hand, not just from field.
That alone would turn them into a massively more useful support for any decks they can support.
This is less fix your hand and more fix your field.
Like, if you're forced into a situation where you can have only 1 level 3 and 1 level 4 on your field. With this skill you can Xyz with them, since you can make both have the same level.
It's for the same reason "Territory of the Shark" is a skill used by many back then, when Water Xyz deck is still meta.
OCG/TCG ban never really affect DL, they're separate format with separate card pool.
And yeah, I don't expect those cards to be released in DL. Those cards are not so OP anymore in real life, but in DL they might be still very powerful.
Yeah, this card is kinda busted.
Its first effect is not only usable in either player's turn, it also can be used even if it's not involved in the battle at all.
Unless you negate this card's effect first, or get rid of this card via effect first, you pretty much are locked out of Battle Phase because it's useless to enter Battle Phase in front of this card.
That's exactly why it's not broken, it's balanced by it being a trap and you taking the damage first.
It's for the same reason nobody use Ring of Destruction anymore, after it's errata'd and released from banlist.
Or you can summon something from your deck
then tribute it for a tribute summon from the hand, or so you can special summon something from your hand, there are a few monsters that needs you to control certain monster to be summoned

Then again. "Frightfur" is a TCG name. OCG name is "Death-Toy", which means it can be fur-less.
In fact I think there's a Frightfur fusion from the Arc-V manga that's just a humanoid doll.

I'll admit, I take it back. But in my defence, I wrote that comment months ago, when Master Duels hadn't even been released yet. It's obvious that due to the drop in players in DL and migration to MD, Konami has been lately way more generous to stop the bleeding. I simply commented based on the atmosphere at the time, which was of complete greed due to the lack of competition for players.
Konami should have went with naming this card "Edge Imp Frightfurian" instead of that awkward naming (Frighfuloid then have a text stating it's always a Frightfur monster, just to avoid it from being a "roid" monster)
Circle of the Fire Kings is also a decent tech card to revive your Metalfoes fusion monster in the GY since you can't run Monster Reborn with Fullmetalfoes Fusion limited to 1. It can also trigger their GY effect if you pop Mithrilium to revive Orichalc or vice versa.
This is now the best pack in the game with Cyber Dragon supports, Superheavy Samurai complete deck, Magical Circle, Lancea, Chain Disappearance, Stardust Spark & Thunder Dragonduo everything in one.
