if you use the combination D/D/D Caesar king of waves and D/D/D arc, queen of oracles you can easily counter this OTK and secure a win against it or increase your life points in your favor.

But I didn’t realize how much impact it would be..
Same story as for the other cards: It was first released in DL based on the Anime effects. And then they were too lazy to change it (or too afraid of).
That question is easy to answer. They released it first in Duel Links based on the Anime effects. After that, they printed it in TCG/OCG with better effects but they haven't updated it in Duel Links (yet).

I use hieratics in my platinum ladder/KOG filler duels (in my hands not yet ready for a leg ladder to KOG). I tested out and discovered witch of the black forest (unfortunately got only 1 copy) to be a great tech for them as it can search any of the three hieratics as seal does. Witch works pretty well with exa beetle first effect, as exa beetle rank up into rhino witch goes to GY. I personally added also blackflare dragon which is searchable to make this a OTK oriented play
Actually you want to get to phase 31 there to unlock 9 standard duelist, and the you want to get to phase 33 so you don't have to accidentally autoduel a trap hell standard duelist for half a hour.
But currently is there any pendulum monster that either retrieves a card or special summons from hand when summoned? If so this cars might be more useful than I thought.
You can use this effect multiple times instead of once, with Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude. If he mills Afterglow, you can use its effect next turn, banish it from the GY and return one to your Deck.
Plaguespreader Zombie can help with this, esp if you've already activated the Afterglow and it's dead in hand.
this skill became great with the change!!! only way to get better is to send the card to the gy instead of back to the deck, it would have been PERFECT!

Can't use both effects in the same turn.
Quie the convoluted what-ifs. If you intend to use this card, you better have a way to use the monster in your favor before it returns to your opponent in mind.
