Personally, it kinda annoys me when people say "it mentions both Spells/Traps, so we should have both"... That isn't how that works. Either way, though, Salamangreat Gift seems like pretty likely filler level-up crud.
There are 4 Level 7+ Performapals that don't Summon themselves, actually. (Sleight Hand Magician being the one in DL, and then Sky Magician, Laugh Maker and Smile Sorcerer.) Either way, the card was designed with Sky Magician specifically in mind. (Sky Magician being the signature card of Yusho Sakaki, who also used this card.)
Yet I beat those decks no problem with odd-eyes vortex deck. Dryton is too easy to counter take out eva and its over. If you can't just let them burn up all their hand and pendulum summon. Eldritch is only a pain if you can't get rid of skill drain. These should be tier 3 at best.
Well, depending on the situation, sometimes you are still alive by turn 7 or even 9.
But yeah, generally for skill activation, turn 5 and onward is late. Not to mention this also has LP restriction.....
Sometimes people use skills that prevent them from activating effects. But that's not the case with Peak Performance obviously.
Some other issues might be:
- Make sure that your deck contains a Level 7 LIGHT or DARK monster
- The effect only works when this card is Normal summoned, not special summoned
- This card must still be face up during the end phase

Very basic but you can basically summon any level Xyz. Steal opponents monsters and use them for Xyz. You can increase decrease levels easy. Also blocks some Xyz and synchros.
Funny how this card representing a group of human is weaker than some cards representing just a single human
Like, Cyber Tutu has the same level, the same ATK, and MORE DEF, and has an effect
