No; the effect activates upon the card being flipped face-up, not upon it being destroyed. So, even if it's made invulnerable, the effect will still activate. Half-shut also protects against destruction from battle only, so using Half-shut on your monster will not protect it from being destroyed by this card effect.
First time I hit kog was with Dino's back before super rush came out. Legend 3 right now pushing for kog again with the new electro hydro deck. Very backrow dependant but it's beaten cyber angels and toons a couple times so I'd recommend it.
Ojama king is all I need, I'll fusion summon him. and when the opponent finally outs him, I play tri-wright revive all ojamas. Use Ojama delta huricane. Play poly again for ojama king. This is only if they only add the ojama trio, ojama king, and delta huricane. If we get country and red/blue/knight, I'll be in heaven.
I must be the unluckiest person ever, he always get this card in his first hand, and I don't get any of my 3 destruction jammer, I'm done with trying to farm him.

It is a 21 card deck (and a very expensive one. But it's worth it. Trust me) but it destroys lvl 57 SD around 70-80% of the time. Just a few side notes.
DON'T USE BALANCE. It makes the deck unusable.
The best skill to use would be Restart (as this has a high chance to brick)
Swift Birdman Joe works pretty well with Mask of the Accursed. You can decide if you can go lethal or not after Swiftman's effect like for instance the enemy chains SRH, Enemy Controller or Windstorm you can simply put the mask back for extra protection.
Unfortunately you can't use this or any other regular monster that can attack directly in Union Attack decks. You see, when you use Union Attack, your opponent takes no battle damage from that monster's attack. However, there is the alternative of using "Gift of the Martyr," though that requires tributing one of your monsters.
Its inconsistant. It requires you to open with venus. Also you have to run 3 shine balls but if open with more than 1 you're screwed. Restart help but still doesn't make it consistant enough. Also struggles against stuff like phoenix, invader of darkness, toons, ninja, REZD, etc
If you have pumpkin using it's effect, it always starts a chain. Works with with any card that reacts(like Hieratic Dragon of Nuit ect.) Example: Opponent uses Mirror Wall on your Hieratic's attack(link 1), Use Dragon's Rebirth(Link 2), Heiratic's React effect(link 3), then this card.
