For anyone confused including the OP, you need to have exactly 12 machine-type monsters to summon it out. Not monsters totaling level 12. 12 monsters including this card
Love how very unintuitive (and therefore dumb) this card's effect is for an SR.
Can't be destroyed in Attack Position, but switch into Defense afterwards, allowing another monster to destroy it in battle? And the other effect requires it to be still on the field after it goes defense. With 0 DEF. What a brilliant move. /s
So....not only nobody runs Neo-Spacians, let alone the dumb Chrysalis stuff, but also, based on the wording, the anti effect damage protects both players, as in, your opponent is also protected.
Overall one of the dumbest card to ever exist.
You can only summon from extra deck into the extra monster zone, so your extra monster zone is occupied. You will be unable to pendulum summon from your extra deck.
Just another example of how Konami's blanket "halve all burn damage" is bad.
It really should have been based on the card, if the burn is weak enough or varies too much, it doesn't need to be nerfed.
Yeah, same reason why Realm of Light is a sh1t field spell for Lightsworn - the effect is based on the sending action instead of how many cards are sent.
Or when a DM player chained The Dark Magicians' effect after Eternal Soul's "destroy all monsters you control" effect thinking Eternal Soul's effect somehow won't apply to the ones summoned by The Dark Magicians.
The end result: Eternal Soul resolve AFTER The Dark Magicians summoned monsters, as a result, Eternal Soul destroyed the newly summoned monster, leaving the DM player's field empty lol
