Because we didn't have this card at 3 copies before Luna.
Still, putting 3 for Luna was super dumb, putting 2 is enough since we have 1 copy already from Chazz.
Notably, it allows your other monster to destroy the weakened monster.
Which is nice when you also control a monster whose effect only activates if it destroyed a monster in battle, but is too weak to destroy opponent's monster, so you can have the equipped monster weaken it first.
It's a completely dead card if you already summoned everything else, though.
That alone is a big disadvantage that should have made this card an SR instead of UR.
Needs a garbage field spell, you need an agent to change its level, offers 0 advantage. Basically, if you use him for a synchro is a -1. All good synchro decks use monsters as synchro materials that are either floatwrs or offer immediate card advantage uppon summon or grave (see shiranui).
That's why I said needs 3 means to activate its effect. You can still tribute 2 monsters as usual but you won't get the effects. Unless 1 of monsters can be treated as 2 tributes like kaiser sea horse or red gaia (forgot that name). You can play gilford in deck that can easily swarm the field like fur hire, magnet, blackwing, six sam. It's up to you.
Gravekeeper's farm deck also works well. Use any character that has "master of fusion" skill and stall with gravekeeper's supernaturalist. Don't forget to add quintet magician in your deck.
This card has "When.." in its effect, that's why. "When" effects only work when their condition is the las thing to happen in a chain.
If you send this card to gy using the ant monster the last thing that happens is ant being summoned so this card misses the timing
This actually would have been a lot better had it has a hard OPT effect, but the effect activates after it is Special Summoned instead of Normal or Flip Summoned.
