This is a pretty good card especially if Silent Magician LV8 is on the urge of dying, and since this is a Quick-Play spell, it can potentially save your Silent Magician LV8 by sacrificing a Silent Magician LV4, its a pretty neat card
Yeah Silent Magician LV8 would be a beast with this card + Spellbook of Power, all of your opponents monsters attacked by a 4500 ATK monster. I think I accidentally gave some pretty broken ideas
By being Japanese. It doesn't have an alternate art as such. It got its art replaced outside Japan. (Art depicting violence is often censored, and in this case, it clearly required an entire redraw.)

The bigger issue is Desmanian Devil is much, much too slow. And takes up field space you'd ideally be using for a Fur Hire. Also, realistically, I'd consider Sangan a better card in Fur Hires regardless.
The number of situations where you'd be able to Summon this and not Plasma Vice in situations where Plasma Vice isn't just as good or better seem like they'd be virtually non-existent.

Yeah, a lot of people just say "trash" when this card is a good normal card, nothing bad about it although it's also not the best now (latest errata makes DW effect goes off since it discards from hand instead of send.....)
So something like this:
If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.
If this card is discarded from your hand to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect: Target 1 Fiend-Type monster on the field (if any); that target gains 500 ATK.
