As someone already said, the effect is "If this ritual summoned card is sent to the GY".
Which mean you need to ritual summoned it first.

If you don't understand PSCT or the difference between When and If effect, i understand because sometimes it's confusing.

But this one is clearly stated in the text that you need to ritual summoned first.

No its does not activate. The cards state "If this ritual summoned card is sent to the GY" means it needs to be ritual summoned first and the effect will only activate when it is sent to the GY.

When using savage colosseum, certain card destruction life gain effects are negated.
