I wonder why we still don't have this card yet in DL. Sure it potentially can deal 2k+ burn damage with Junk synchros, but bringing out both a Junk synchro and this card takes too much effort to be worth it, anyway.
Its level means you pretty much are forced to play A Legendary Ocean first to make use of this card, since it's a terrible card as a Level 5. With ALO at least you can Normal Summon it easily.
"Lead" would make more sense, as it "lead" your way into victory by special summoning itself, allowing you to start doing stuff, for example using it as Synchro Material to bring out your own Synchro Monster that's stronger than your opponent's.
I recall reading about another card with similar case, iirc the answer is that Guard Mines still cannot respond to Raikiri, since Raikiri's effect can destroy more than 1, even if it ends up destroying just 1.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, since my memory is kinda vague on this.
It is intended to be a spoof of Marauding Captain, even its OCG name supports this, by having the same "Kirikomi" that's in Marauding Captain's OCG name.

Let go this card dude. Trap for backrow removal is almost useless. Just use Cosmic Cyclone
The bad thing about this card, is that the ATK boost is too low, considering its base ATK is only 800. Should have been at least 400 x the Level, not just 200 x the Level.

Konami's algorithms already determined which card you want and how to maximize your frustration, thus profit from making you farm him.
If you stop farming Jack for a time and come back it might reset the algorithm and increase your odds.
