Wiz fur hire negating subterrors final battle bug?

When wiz negated my final battle, my final battle got sent to the graveyard. Wiz's effect just says that you can "negate the activation" of an s/t card, so why would final battle's second effect be negated as well, since it's not an activated effect?

By denying activation, all effects are negative as well.
and also, it is written in the Card that:
"After" activating 1 of the effects it is set face down.
so it is correct that she be sent to the Grave
